"My first and last experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I went with friends for a meal, but we were disappointed by the quality of the food. I ordered the beef short rib, which was tough and dry due to being a fatty cut. The dish lacked sauce and the vegetables were bland, though the Dauphinois potatoes were tasty. My wife ordered a rare flat iron steak, but it arrived medium rare and was tough to chew. When we brought this up to the staff, they initially claimed we should have ordered it differently, but eventually admitted the mistake. Despite this, they were unable to find a satisfactory solution, and my wife did not eat the steak. To make matters worse, when I received the bill for £200 for four people (including 1 main dish and 1.5 drinks per person), I was still charged for the uneaten steak. Reluctantly, I paid to avoid causing a scene with our guests. I was disappointed by both the food quality and the service response to our complaint, and we will not be returning. "Thankyou so much for such a wonderful evening. Just got back from our free meal after winning the Facebook competition. The food and the service were outstanding and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. After the Camembert for two as a starter I had the sirloin steak, cooked to perfection and my husband had the belly pork, followed by a gorgeous sticky toffee pudding all of which were well presented and tasted delicious! We will definitely return and will recommend to anyone"

"The only way people would come to this place is by recommendation, not in passing as it is hard to find from the street. At first glance the sign is above a tanning saloon which appears to have gone out of business. The resturant is actually way down a side ally entered by a black door with no sign. It is a bit of an initiatve test. Once in, all is good. Although there was only one other table with customers there the whole time, so quite empty therefore lacking a little atmosphere for a Saturday night. Service food was very good. Well worth the effort in finding how to get in!."
