"the first time at tapasya. booked for a Monday evening and as expected, and like most restaurants, will always be quiet, but three tables covered such a ' atmosphere', the staff was very attentive and friendly, and eating was really delicious. in contrast to most Indian restaurants, the menu is quite small, so they can make sure that every dish is very good and freshly prepared. the web image is for 'indian fine eating'. yes, it seems safe! I did not taste as good Indian eating as this for a very long time, nor had serviettes placed on my lap in any Indian restaurant! the waitresses simply slide up to their table and fill their drinks without they perceive this. will definitely return in the near future, good things."

"To my surprise, many restaurants are closed on Sunday evening in London. Every time I looked up a vegan restaurant on Happy Cow, it turned out it was closed. Since it was late and I was hungry, I had no other option than to select a vegetarian restaurant close by. 1947 Restaurant and Bar is both an Indian and Italian restaurant. The entire menu is vegetarian, however only around 20% is vegan. Many more meals can be made vegan, but so many of them had cheese listed as an ingredient that I didn 't want to run the risk. What if there 's an error in communication between the waitress and the kitchen? Or what if the chef accidentally adds cheese out of habit? I had lots of time to make up my mind, because even though the restaurant was very quiet it took a long time until the waitress came to take my order. I selected vegan biryani because I like biryani and because I 've tried it at so many restaurants that it 's easy to compare. It took a long time for the biryani to be prepared, but then it was served beautifully and smelled divine (as it should be). However, compared to other restaurants it 's a rather simple biryani. It has only one kind of rice (it is often served with both white and yellow rice) and only a few vegetables. There was no tofu, mushroom, potato, no nuts or any protein source. Also, the yoghurt was missing (which is used to extinguish the fire caused by the spices). The portion was generous and the taste was good. Although it was mentioned on the menu, 1947 Restaurant and Bar adds a 12.5% service tax. Why don 't restaurants just increase all prices on the menu instead of giving the customers a nasty surprise at the end?"

"I have tried the best karak chai ever at this restaurant. I am a fan of its sweet taste and the perfectly balanced sugar in the drink. The restaurant also offers an amazing selection of cakes and sweets. The atmosphere is great and they stay open late every day, making it one of the best places to meet up late at night outside of pubs, closing at 1:30 AM."

"What an absolute find! We happened on this restaurant while visiting Chelsea. TPH is an elegant restaurant featuring a wonderful balance of mainstream dishes with a sophisticated twist. A perfect example is the samosa appetizer. Light and fluffy on the inside and delicately crisp on the outside. This would have been great on it’s on own but was served with a chickpea stew combining a wonderful blend of herbs and spices that made it one of the best things I’ve eaten in quite some time. The menu features rich, textured curries, perfectly tender meats, fresh seafood and veggie dishes served by a gracious husband and wife team who truly care about your dining experience. All this and not while not putting a big dent in your pocketbook. We will definitely be back."

"Firstly the staff were very nice, the food is also very nice, the negative point would be that there is no one to arrange for you to sit,when tables were free, I was with my husband and my child, we're waiting for seats, some ladies came after us and sat down on two seat to make sure they got table when the people got up, One of the girl from that group even said they are a family waiting for seat to which she replied that's their luck, they should have their seats, we didn't want to intrude others eating that's why weren't jumping on seats, but aside from that I would definitely say this place a try."

"I was extremely disappointed when the food arrived after 1hour of waiting. Ordered two molten chocolate brownies expecting them to be warm gooey and covered in hot chocolate. Haha no, that’s not what was delivered. We got two freezer stored cold cakes with chocolate on top in a plastic case. Also ordered thunder and lightning ice cream, but instead was delivered death by chocolate, so I rang up to explain they had delivered the wrong flavour to be told they had no thunder and lightning in stock so they just switched it without consulting me first. When I said that I don’t want to chocolate one I could hear them in the background trying to tell me that it’s the same thing when it obviously isn’t! While on the phone I asked if the molten brownies are meant to be cold to be made aware that they are stored in a freezer and sent out cold. As a desert place I expected freshly made food especially for the price!! Also after debating with the guy on the phone that the ice creams are not the same he offered to refund me via bank transfer in which the refund is still not appearing to have been made! Would not recommend. Disappointed! Also why does delivery take 1 hour when it’s literally just frozen **** put in a bag and placed at your front door"

"The restaurant was dirty, both the inside and the dishes used. The food was way too spicy (and I like spicy food). When we spoke to the waiter to tell him this he said we should have asked for less spicy (they should have given us this choice when ordering). A normal curry or dansak is normally spicy but not to this level (Phall level). The waiters were keen, but a bit too clean, when he was taking our dishes away he done this so quickly that some leftover food landed on my trousers. I would recommend that the restaurant is cleaned properly, dishes cleaned properly, ask people what level of spice they would like"

"Food was amazing.Couldnt find any fault with the food.But the wait was ridiculous.for over an hour.One of our dishes was given first and had to wait for the rest of the stuffs again. Even though the staff apologized for it as there were short of staff .But what we noticed was that one of the families who came after was given the food earlier than us.They were given even glasses to drink water while we had to ask for a bottled water finally. I would say the customer service wasn't that great .but may get food from here as takeout."

"My first visit to chaiwala 100% will be my last .. the food tasted like it was made a week ago just heated. The pav bhaji had absolutely no taste the chicken tikka was hard, rubbery, and tasted like it had been cooked days ago.. the chips were cold had a load of ketchup poured over the top. I was so disappointed after spending nearly £20 did not touch any of it. Your standards are way below expected you really do need to sort this out. The worst experience ever I will not be returning. "I visited Milan Indian Cuisine with friends on Friday evening (14 July 2023), as we were staying nearby in the City, for the T20 Cricket Finals Day at Edgbaston. It was new to me, but somewhere my friends had visited before and had praise for and now I can see why! I have a nut allergy, and although my options on Indian menu’s are limited, I have to be extremely careful. I made the staff aware of this as we took to our table, and from the start they were hugely accommodating, helping me with what was nut free, they stayed with me until I had made my order. Really was exceptional! I had a starter of Grilled Salmon, which was very nice, and then a main of Lamb Rogan Josh, with Pilau Rice and a garlic naan. A dish I usually go for to be safe, it was one of the best I’ve had! Full of meat and flavour! A huge thanks, particularly to Nico, who’s service was fantastic! We shall be visiting next year for the Cricket finals!"

"Saturday morning, called in for a desi breakfast. Uncharacteristically slow and chaotic service today. They just need some more staff to help them keep on top of the orders. Long delays, incorrect orders, stressed staff doing their best. I felt really sorry for them. The food was nice as usual , but the owners need to invest in having more staff. It is a popular place. "We had a lovely lunch today, trying five different dishes among our group of five, and we enjoyed each one! The restaurant was immaculate, especially considering its location on Soho Street. Even the restroom was impressive! It's clear that they take great care of the establishment, and I hope they continue to maintain this level of cleanliness. "Great food !! Friendly and courteous service !! I was very glad to find this gem of a restaurant when I was looking for somewhere to eat near London Bridge. I ordered a chicken battered and fried street food style Chicken 65 is what they call it on the menu with a chilli cheese naan. The chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and tender and full of flavour on the inside. It came with a sauce which had a nice fruity tang to it which complemented the spiciness of the chicken. And the naan was a perfect accompaniment, warm and subtly flavoured with cheese and chilli. This meal hit the spot !! My friend had a butter chicken and peshwari nan which she really enjoyed.
