"the first time at tapasya. booked for a Monday evening and as expected, and like most restaurants, will always be quiet, but three tables covered such a ' atmosphere', the staff was very attentive and friendly, and eating was really delicious. in contrast to most Indian restaurants, the menu is quite small, so they can make sure that every dish is very good and freshly prepared. the web image is for 'indian fine eating'. yes, it seems safe! I did not taste as good Indian eating as this for a very long time, nor had serviettes placed on my lap in any Indian restaurant! the waitresses simply slide up to their table and fill their drinks without they perceive this. will definitely return in the near future, good things."

"To my surprise, many restaurants are closed on Sunday evening in London. Every time I looked up a vegan restaurant on Happy Cow, it turned out it was closed. Since it was late and I was hungry, I had no other option than to select a vegetarian restaurant close by. 1947 Restaurant and Bar is both an Indian and Italian restaurant. The entire menu is vegetarian, however only around 20% is vegan. Many more meals can be made vegan, but so many of them had cheese listed as an ingredient that I didn 't want to run the risk. What if there 's an error in communication between the waitress and the kitchen? Or what if the chef accidentally adds cheese out of habit? I had lots of time to make up my mind, because even though the restaurant was very quiet it took a long time until the waitress came to take my order. I selected vegan biryani because I like biryani and because I 've tried it at so many restaurants that it 's easy to compare. It took a long time for the biryani to be prepared, but then it was served beautifully and smelled divine (as it should be). However, compared to other restaurants it 's a rather simple biryani. It has only one kind of rice (it is often served with both white and yellow rice) and only a few vegetables. There was no tofu, mushroom, potato, no nuts or any protein source. Also, the yoghurt was missing (which is used to extinguish the fire caused by the spices). The portion was generous and the taste was good. Although it was mentioned on the menu, 1947 Restaurant and Bar adds a 12.5% service tax. Why don 't restaurants just increase all prices on the menu instead of giving the customers a nasty surprise at the end?"

"What an absolute find! We happened on this restaurant while visiting Chelsea. TPH is an elegant restaurant featuring a wonderful balance of mainstream dishes with a sophisticated twist. A perfect example is the samosa appetizer. Light and fluffy on the inside and delicately crisp on the outside. This would have been great on it’s on own but was served with a chickpea stew combining a wonderful blend of herbs and spices that made it one of the best things I’ve eaten in quite some time. The menu features rich, textured curries, perfectly tender meats, fresh seafood and veggie dishes served by a gracious husband and wife team who truly care about your dining experience. All this and not while not putting a big dent in your pocketbook. We will definitely be back."

"I have tried the best karak chai ever at this restaurant. I am a fan of its sweet taste and the perfectly balanced sugar in the drink. The restaurant also offers an amazing selection of cakes and sweets. The atmosphere is great and they stay open late every day, making it one of the best places to meet up late at night outside of pubs, closing at 1:30 AM."

"Firstly the staff were very nice, the food is also very nice, the negative point would be that there is no one to arrange for you to sit,when tables were free, I was with my husband and my child, we're waiting for seats, some ladies came after us and sat down on two seat to make sure they got table when the people got up, One of the girl from that group even said they are a family waiting for seat to which she replied that's their luck, they should have their seats, we didn't want to intrude others eating that's why weren't jumping on seats, but aside from that I would definitely say this place a try."

"I was extremely disappointed when the food arrived after 1hour of waiting. Ordered two molten chocolate brownies expecting them to be warm gooey and covered in hot chocolate. Haha no, that’s not what was delivered. We got two freezer stored cold cakes with chocolate on top in a plastic case. Also ordered thunder and lightning ice cream, but instead was delivered death by chocolate, so I rang up to explain they had delivered the wrong flavour to be told they had no thunder and lightning in stock so they just switched it without consulting me first. When I said that I don’t want to chocolate one I could hear them in the background trying to tell me that it’s the same thing when it obviously isn’t! While on the phone I asked if the molten brownies are meant to be cold to be made aware that they are stored in a freezer and sent out cold. As a desert place I expected freshly made food especially for the price!! Also after debating with the guy on the phone that the ice creams are not the same he offered to refund me via bank transfer in which the refund is still not appearing to have been made! Would not recommend. Disappointed! Also why does delivery take 1 hour when it’s literally just frozen **** put in a bag and placed at your front door"

"After having a long day at Alton Towers, we decided to get something to eat on our way back to Leeds and it was by far the best choice. Everything was just right, the food being of a great standard, everything cooked to perfection. The starters (large mix grill) were absolutely amazing, with a real charcoal grill taste. The curry was by far the best one I have had, although was a little bit spicy(my fault, asked for extra hot). It’s really one of those places you have to try so you can understand the taste of the food. Words just cannot describe it!!"

"My first visit to chaiwala 100% will be my last .. the food tasted like it was made a week ago just heated. The pav bhaji had absolutely no taste the chicken tikka was hard, rubbery, and tasted like it had been cooked days ago.. the chips were cold had a load of ketchup poured over the top. I was so disappointed after spending nearly £20 did not touch any of it. Your standards are way below expected you really do need to sort this out. The worst experience ever I will not be returning. "There were about four appetizers and five curries, but only one choice for the curries. The fish was particularly delightful and we could order hot bread right at our table. A variety of sauces and dips for the poppadoms were also available, all of which were truly delicious. Each dish was replenished frequently and remained fresh despite the low turnout. However, the service from the staff was disappointing. It took quite a while for them to take our orders and the overall attentiveness was lacking, making it difficult to get their attention when we needed something. On a positive note, the interior of the restaurant was beautiful, modern, and felt clean and safe. I would certainly consider dining here again, as it offers great value for a filling and enjoyable lunch!"

"I order Chaiiwala a couple of months ago to my workplace for breakfast and what a great decision that was. I ordered the full desk breakfast which contained an omelette in which I opted for cheese, chilli and onion in it, paratha, beans, daal and chana masala served with a j2o the price point I believe was around £12.50 with all the extras added in. Everything was beautiful especially the daal, so smooth and moreish. It is quite pricey for what it is but it is desi food cooked well and very very filling so definitely a nice treat. Would definitely recommend, as a side note the aloo paratha is gorgeous. All ok but not breathtaking."

I have visited with my wife and we ordered all these listed items in invoice one of guy Mr. Khan took my order he was very rude and furious, I would suggest to restaurant owner please provide behavioral training to your staff else you'll get complain like this in near future as well. I told him to please make Chilli paneer spicy but he denied my wish and put me agreed on that it's already spicy we can't do anything and later he came to me and asked about how's the food I politily told him to my real time experience but he again started arguing to me and my wife as well. My whole food is experience is worst I have eaten almost good indian places in London but I won't forget my bad today's experience on this place. last but not least please avoid this strongly not recommended P.S. one of your waiter told us that the guy who was serving to us his name is Mr. Khan. "The food was good, but a bit expensive for the portions. You don't have secondary dishes if you want some vegetables to order a main quantity to get something. No high chair for children. Service was okay, but definitely not great. They made a mistake with the order despite repeating twice. When the food arrived and an article was missing, they said we didn't order it. We asked ourselves again (and it came fast, what was great) but we were for both that we received, and those that we ordered and not received. Luckily we have carefully examined our invoice and received a refund for double payment."
