"We had a great experience with both service and food in april 2022 and sent back since we were in the neigbourhood today so disapointed The food was tasteless and over or undercooked ordered the Lamb and Rojones tapas together with dates stuffen with goateschees and the blir spanish cheese bruchettas the two later ones was good as well as their home baked bread, though oliveoil and salt would be nice instead of butter with it. Unfortunately we found the service slow and unattentive despoter a skor monday early evening arriverat around 7:30 pm No one asked us if we wanted refill of our drinks and we had to ask for both refill and water After ordering just drinks when they picked up our plates with leftovers no question of everything was ok , if we wanted anything else we also Aspedalsvägen for paying took a while to get the bill and still no question if we were happy with the food or wanted anything else. Last time in april 2022 so different very attentive staff, the food was great and we where all happy. No further rekommendations from us sorry"

"Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and offered a spot on their lovely outside terrace, which was perfect given the warm evening. Our waiter was prompt and took our drink orders right away, ensuring they arrived in no time. With impressive knowledge of the menu, he quickly provided us with his recommendations. We chose the Meat mezze for two, and the food was truly exceptional. From the selection of pita and dips to the beef stifado and moussaka, each course was even better than the last. For dessert, we indulged in traditional baklava and enjoyed a Greek coffee, which was the perfect finale. Overall, our experience at Taverna was fantastic, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. It's a must-visit place when you find yourself in Harrogate!"

"After reading some reviews, we decided to try this restaurant for an evening meal. We ordered a selection of mezze dishes to share. The food looked appealing, but the portions were quite small, and the flavors were lacking. Everything tasted very bland, and it would have been nice to have salt and pepper available at the table. The octopus was tough and not enjoyable. We ordered eight dishes to share among three of us and still left feeling hungry. We spent £150 for three people but didn't leave very satisfied. The space is beautiful and has potential, but they really need to improve their food."

"The restaurant is run by wonderful people and serves as a true focal point of the community. The owner of Greek Village went out of his way to accommodate special requests for my friend's birthday dinner. I had a few inquiries and they were all handled with kindness. The food was delicious, the service exceptional, and they even left a gift on the table for my friend. This establishment truly goes above and beyond. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal served by good people."

"Food was decent as usual) but the service left a lot to be desired. The wrong food was brought out on one occasion and then added to the bill even though no one had ordered it). One item was unavailable which meant two of our party had to reorder. Another item a very simple one) the trilogy was brought out after everyone else had been served. We then had to send the bill back three times as it was incorrect. Our waiters/waitresses were all very apologetic but it was overall a poor dining experience that spoilt a welcome lunch for a new member of our team. We have visited The Life Goddess a number of times for team lunches and never a had problem previously. Sadly, I don 't think we 'll be coming back in a hurry which is a real shame :"

"Had a really nice meal here recently. We were greeted with a friendly server and seated straight away, offered a drink also. We offered a selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu, all were as tasty as the other. The halloumi gyros was lovely, as was the veggie moussaka. One small let down was that my partners usual favourite dish (grilled swordfish) was removed from the menu. There’s a variation of it still on the menu but with king prawns and my partner doesn’t like prawns. We asked for this dish without the prawns, the server checked with the kitchen and they told us it wasn’t possible. I understand how modifying dishes isn’t an option but it doesn’t say this on the menu, and we would have been willing to pay full price for a reduced dish. Would love this to be an option for the future… if so it would be back to a 5* experience"

"Smell is so important for taste AND local restaurants are so important for laziness. Pure Cyprus, a stones throw away from Finsbury Park offers Greek cuisine for the local folk. Greek food for me is mezze delights such as Hummous, tahini, tzakiki and halloumi for starters. Then followed by kebab and finally some sweet baklava."

"The positives. I was well greeted to take up my reservation and placed at a table for 2. Menu was varied . Restaurant clean. Lovely live music. Negatives. Restaurant was quiet with only 1 other table occupied. To our surprise, after placing our food order we were asked to move for a large booking, even though there were other areas that could be used. Turned out the large booking was for 8 who had just booked and could have been positioned without interfering with me. Secondly, our drinks order did not arrive promptly and when chased were told that they were waiting to give is with our main course! The final big issue here was they had the cheek to slip 2 extra drinks on to our bill. Would I go back or recommend the restaurant, no way Jose."
