"We live locally and decided to try Papa Johns for a change. I ordered an extra large All The Meats because the website says customers voted it their number 1 pizza. It was the worse pizza we have ever had the displeasure to be served....It arrived luke warm bordering on room temperature. The toppings were spread so thin it looked like a medium pizza inside an extra large base. The toppings stopped well inside the margin of the crust leaving an inch of bare dough around the outside. The amount of toppings was not half that shown in the picture on their website. The flavour of the toppings was rank. It all tasted the same. Imagine a disgusting halal pizza from a back street in Islamabad where random unknown meat is shaped and coloured to resemble sausage or pepperoni. The website says chunks of ham and crispy bacon but I didn't find one piece. We have no idea what they are using for cheese. It wasn't mozzarella. It was complete garbage. The whole family sat groaning after eating only a couple of slices of this garbage. It made us all feel sick. I wanted to vomit to get it out of my system. The next day we were all still complaining about the horrendous pizza. Papa Johns have a quality guarantee if you don't like your pizza they will send you another for free. WTF I don't want ever to see another of their pizzas! Papa Johns is really up to no good, there must be some shady practices going on in their shops to produce such rank pizza."

The pizza was extremely greasy and the sauce had a bad smell and appearance, so we decided not to try it. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant as there are much better options in the area. "My partner and I decided to revisit here as we had been about a month ago and the food was very impressive in particular the pate and lasagne were exceptional last time. So we thought we would go again on Friday wish we hadn’t! We sat in the restaurant area on a small table for 2 by the window. The tables were a little sticky. So we wiped them with a napkin. We were told by a young pretty waitress that the menu was currently reduced in size. Limiting our options. It was fairly busy which was a good sign. I ordered the hunters chicken and my partner ordered a burger. We waited about 25 minutes which wasn’t too bad. The food arrived and the chicken was soo dry it had been hidden by the sauce and cheese. But had been cooked to well if I say an inch of its life it would be an understatement. The salad was warm and wilted. My partners burger was burnt on one side and the other side looked under done. The bun itself was also burnt and had then been blatantly scraped but the cheese was covered in little black burnt pieces. We were about to complain when an argument broke out between an older chef with a beard and glasses and a bald man in a white shirt through the kitchen hatch. A few other customers looked over aswell. At this point we had seen enough and just paid our bill and left. We said afterwards it was such a shame as the previous time had been soo good. But may leave it a long while before we give it another chance."

"On 23.05.2022 I received an unexpected phone call from Lee who introduced himself as a manager at Dulwich Papa Johns . Lee was extremely polite and professional and explained that he had read my review regarding the very poor customer service I had received from another manager on 09.05.2022 and was extremely apologetic about the experience I had suffered regarding the BURNT AND CRISPY PIZZA. I accepted his apology wholeheartedly as he clearly understood my dismay regarding the poor service I had experienced and assured me that if I decided to order again my pizzas would be of the standard that it is expected to be and I would also get this order on the house. On 05.06.2022, I decided to take up the free offer and spoke to Ayoub (I hope the spelling is correct and informed him of the offer I had been given by Lee. He was helpful and reassured me that he would ensure that my pizzas would be of the standard that is expected of Papa Johns. My delivery was on time and handed over by a polite delivery person. When I opened the box that held the double pepperoni pizza with no cheese, I immediately rang Papa Johns. I was unable to speak to Ayoub but left him a message, “Tell Ayoub THANK you very much the PIZZA IS PERFECT.” Both Lee and Ayoub had kept their promise. To be frank the FREE pizza was so much better than the PAID FOR pizza. Just goes to show that ALLERGN SUFFERERS CAN HAVE GREAT PIZZA’S TOO if the time is taken to make sure they are baked perfectly to the right texture and are also delicious to eat. Thanks Lee and Ayoub for great customer service and restoring my faith in you. So, rather than losing a customer you have maintained one so long as the same standard remains. :"

"wow! tonight to eat roast, ingenious eating, top quality. the service was also very good. not complaining. we had appetizers, hauptsache and puddings all three well ordered, service was good between everyone and the last serve us so beautiful. roast was perfectly boiled, tasty roast beef I have in a restaurant in the old with beautiful fluffy, but crispy roasted kartoffels. yummmy! they pay a little more, but definitiw it for standard of food, service and atmosphere. we will visit again very soon, I wouldn't look anywhere else for a roast."

"I can no longer count the number of times I’ve been here on one hand and every time I’ve been it’s been fantastic! The customer service is second to none and the food is real authentic Italian food (comparing it to what I’ve had in Sicily, Florence and Pisa! "Great, attentive and friendly staff. Best thin crust pizza I have had in a long time. All freshly made. Nice bright place with a personal touch. £10 for a 15 pizza. Vegan cheese and vegan meat, if you want, at no extra cost. I had a lovely big slice of Meatball and Cheeseburger pizza with real cheese for my first visit and shared a Vegan cheese 15 Meat Tornado pizza for my second visit. Needless to say, I will be back again."
