"What an unpleasant experience! This was once a good venue with excellent food, polite staff and generally clean and tidy. But now the staff obviously don't care and can't be bothered to be courteous. The food is very poor and certainly not value for money. The windows, the floor, the carpets and.the upholstery are filthy. I didn't have the courage to use the toilets, my life is too valuable. The tables are sticky and not wiped down. And there were more badly behaved, barking dogs than customers. Why do they let dogs sit on the chairs, probably why the upholstery is so unpleasant. There was a time that you had to book to eat at The Boathouse and we took friends there, but we wouldn't expose people we like to The Boathouse's poor food, duty and general lack of care and hygiene. Definitely a venue to avoid, which is a shame because the location is fantastic."
