"Being a Geordie I have been spoilt with Bangladeshi cuisine (huge Banglashi comminty up north) so it was exciting to try an Indian cuisine which was a little different to the norm. The menu was explained to is with pride and insight and we were not disappointed with the food it was very good. The Masala Dosa was delicious as was the lamb dish (mint and corriander) and the aubergine dish with peanut sauce We have already told our Bristolian friends that they must visit and we hope to be back soon!"

"It would have been stars across the board but for the noise level from a party of that arrived whilst we were tucking into our main course. No fault of the restaurant as business is business and recovering from the pandemic, the management and team at Sai has worked extremely hard to service the clientele…it was just the fact we needed to shout at each other to hear ourselves that knocked a star off for me. The food was exquisite, the service brilliant and we look forward to returning soon but this time we will ask if there are any large table bookings in advance"

"Food as ever was very good but the restaurant was chaotic and so busy that it almost felt out of control-the table was dirty and the staff were run off their feet. The constant stream of delivery pick ups distracted the team from dealing with the in -restaurant customers and the net effect was disappointing. This is the first time we've had this experience at Sai and the food quality was still high. One other gripe was the inability to order side dishes of vegetables-if you want vegetables you have to order them as a main course-an odd approach."
