Freshly sautéed green beans with garlic and a hint of lemon for a vibrant, crunchy side dish.

"I had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent, the setting on the High Street was charming, and the food was delicious. It was the perfect spot for a quick and affordable evening meal. Thank you."

"Pre-marathon carb-loading meal so I needed it to be early (6.30 table) and not messed around by an incompetent waiter who lied about the reason for a 40+mins delay to serving our main courses. Food was functional at best. Disappointing evening, not worth the money. At least the poor service saved us the expense of dessert, more drinks and a tip. Freezing cold in there too. Much better when it was Auberge, not this soulless dump."

"This place is Awful and has not trained the bouncers at the door how to greet the customers because of whom probably they are getting their salaries from.I and my friends visited this place last night , we forgot our ids so we went home and got the Ids and when went inside. While going inside my friend guy friend was carrying a man bag was told that he’s not allowed to get the bag inside when we asked him for a reason for the same he didn’t answer any thing but at the same time I was allowed with my lady bag in there. We offered him if he can check his bag and allow him inside then but he insisted us to go back hide your man bag inside and then you can enter which is so disrespectful and bad. Then we went inside enjoyed our selves so by the end of time we were leaving the same bouncer who let us in started abusing and assaulting us when we said don’t touch he said “I’ll show you what I can do and even touch you”.He pushed me badly and grabbed my friend’s arm and dragged him out of the club. This incident has shocked me from inside out that what kind of Racist and sexist behaviour is this. For the first time in my life I have seen such heartless behaviour inside a club this is not even human. If a women can get a purse that’s allowed and man cannot isn’t this unfair and sexiest ?? We group of people spent almost 300 pounds in this club and this club gave us a very hard time, forget the service they can’t even match the basic standards on even humanitarian grounds or any place if compared.People who wants to have a good quality time “PLEASE AVOID Going to this bar as this is beyond the expectations of insults and sexism and racism you’ll face in your entire life”.I would never visit this place again and never recommend to my friends."

"The Resturant was cold the entire time, we were told only to sit in specific seats because there was only two of us, for then couples to sit in those seats anyway. We ordered are food first out of all the people in the resturant, we got given our food last as the waitress gave our food to another couple, they new they had messed up but never told us and just ignored us until we mad an issue of it. We also ordered drinks that never happened until we ordered them again. It has potential but just seems unorganised. P.s Do not get the shakes with spirits, they are expenisve and you do not even notice it, for all I know they didnt even add any."

"Despite living in Ruislip forever we only discovered this little gem at the start of 2022 now a regular haunt. Kathy Frank have developed a loyal regular clientele which speaks volumes in this day age . A lovely independent bijou cafe great for breakfast/brunch/lunch or a quick tea stop. A full and comprehensive menu plus daily specials, all reasonably priced cooked fresh to order always a warm welcome great humour from them both. In summer you can sit outside watch the world go by. Kathy Frank do all they can to locally source their produce ensuring it is all high quality, nothing precooked reheated here. Great milkshakes, iced coffees and hot chocolate Very definitely worth a visit great food and customer service from an independent "

"eating is good and good, although the caffe rouge we visited in oxford (saturday lunchtime, not full), was quite chaotic and with that look not terrible well managed. we explained at the beginning, we had a short time limit of an hour; the food was quickly produced, but when we asked for coffee, they did not come, although the bill containing coffee was quickly produced. we said the coffee just came, but it was not (and the coffee machine area is filled with dirty tassen and no one to take part). then we asked for a adjusted bill and left. not a big complaining, but it could have been handled better."

"This was the worst afternoon tea experience I have ever had. There was a lack of friendly welcome, mediocre service, and no manager in sight. Despite pre-booking and requesting the afternoon tea menu, we were told to sit anywhere upon arrival. The wrong menus were initially given to us, but this was quickly corrected. While the tea arrived promptly, the food took a long time to come out. The mini baguettes were disappointing - they consisted of a thin slice of ham and a rocket leaf, and the brie ones were the same. After taking a bite, it was clear that they were dry, chewy, and not enjoyable at all. When we requested some mayo, chutney, or mustard to make them more edible, the only action taken was drizzling olive oil over them, which was not what we had asked for. Frustrated, we asked for our food to be taken back and decided to order from the main menu instead. Despite being told that the manager would come to see us, we waited for 50 minutes without any food or manager in sight, while other tables who arrived after us were already enjoying their meals. Disappointed with the service, we eventually left without eating. It was a truly terrible experience and we will not be returning. Thank you for ruining what should have been a pleasant afternoon with a friend. It was a waste of time and money. Shame on you, Cafe Rouge!"

"I am very disappointed with today’s Uber eats order from Zizzi South Woodford. I ordered the meal deal with Rustica pizza+ fries and I also ordered a dessert and a drink. The pizza was made of two halves of pizzas and it was cold. It looked like they put two halves from other pizzas into my box and sold it to me as one. I used to be a regular customer, but today was a disappointment and I will not order from this shop or visit the shop again"

"since over 15 years sophies steakhouse visited and since the summer it was my first time. I went past the last weeks often to visit during the tireless veganuary, so I jumped on the opportunity to have a relaxed dinner there...with a friend on a Tuesday night. the dinner itself was the usual quality ingredients simple things made very good and fair value for the location as expected. I was disappointed, however, that I was at the reception of the restaurant for approx. 5 minutes were allowed to stand (besides a board that has asked customers to wait) where I was ignored, although I was passed on several times by the employees without gruß or recognition. it seems quite unnecessary that customers (also with reservations) on this wise on a Tuesday night around 19:30 clock, if there is a bar area on the immediate left side of the at the beginning that I quite comfortable my time in, until someone around me to put around me and safe enough, a small waiting snake formed behind us through the time we finally sit, although there is a series of open tables. my words very carefully to choose, I told the waiter (the manager) when he put us that as “a courteous world of advice” when they let customers wait at the entrance, they should be more of an effort to welcome them immediately, but this seemed to be taken as a personal affront and I was accused that it was quite hysterical, “he was being back in the moment when I met him during this already negotiated exchange we were asked twice (at this point) if we wanted to proceed with our booking by the waiter who obviously had decided that he would rather leave the partially empty restaurant. Despite every attempt to go, I didn't want my friend embarrassing, who visited the restaurant more regularly from late, so we tried to make the best of an otherwise insignificant dinner. within spores of playing the sacrifice, the waiter could explain that he was very stressed, as they were particularly short workers (the experience of my friend also from a previous visit) and fair to him seemed to be that he had a large area on his own. Of course, I have addressed any sympathy, and it is a management problem that must be solved especially for that of human, but why not just with an excuse or even only a recognition of feedback received, instead of expressing themselves and making absurd accusations if it receives polite and constructive feedback? would the device rather not mention a bad customer experience and decide to simply go into reasonable feedback? to his credit, the rest of the service was professional, but it is hard to do such a basic misunderstanding of the customer service in a time when they think restaurants should do everything in their power to customers again welcome after the break-up of the last 18 months. the whole episode is pretty bad at sophies I'm sorry to say and I won't be back in a hurry."

"We booked a table at cafe rouge as we had tickets for the theatre nearby. We go to cafe rouge on a regular basis and this was our worst experience by far. The venue itself was nice, lots of glass windows and the usual cafe rouge decor. We ordered bread and olives to start, which were great, but we had issues with the main and pudding courses. We had both ordered steaks to be cooked medium, but when they arrived one was perfect and the other was very well done. They replaced it without a fuss however my partner had finished her meal before my replacement arrived. The replacement was good, but there was no reflection in the bill that we had come out for a meal together and ended up eating alone. We ordered pudding, creme brûlée and chocolate fondant. The chocolate fondant was nothing special, a little dry, but the creme brûlée was awful. The crunchy top had not been made by putting on sugar and then caramelising it; instead they had made caramel in a pan and poured it on. This made it very thick and hard to eat and rather unenjoyable. The service was okay, but we felt the manager was rather inappropriately dressed in a short skirt and sparkly trainers!"

"This venue has got to be the most iconic Cafe Rouge in their portfolio. Beautiful art deco building a joy to sit in. Great food. Visited 22 August 22 lunch and we enjoyed good, hot tasty, well presented, reasonably priced meals. Our waiter Mario was fantastic. The best mix of attentiveness but not overpoweringly sycophantic. Happy, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Took a pride in his work which can be a challenge to find nowadays. Well done and thank you both Cafe Rouge and Mario!"

"Zizzi, Finchley Road: had just enough time to grab a quick bite before an appointment, and, lunchtime rush just over, Zizzi fitted the bill. One Chicken Caesar salad, one Antipesto Siciliano and two glasses of wine clocked up just over ÂŁ20 for two, and were OK. Our waitress, aware of our time constraints, ensured we were in and out in just under 45 minutes, but this haste didn't affect our enjoyment."
"it was Valentine's Day! needed somewhere locally and for a fast, comfortable meal. to our surprise a musician had been set for the evening and this improved the ambiente so much that we wanted to take our time over the culinary experience. Nevertheless, the employees were too excited to postpone the delivery of the courses and it would have helped them to return a little. the set menu was a real bonus and the selection of food tasted amazing. I'll go back to see you sometime."

"Chose dishes, my choice was not available, we were not told this when the menu was handed out. Bread was stale. Main course took an hour to arrive. When it did arrive one plate which was burger and chips was cold. Baked salmon was under seasoned but fine apart from that. One member of staff who looked a key member was very scruffy and not dressed professionally. We aired our disappointment at the food , (as were other customers)the manager did not come over to apologise to us or other complaining tables but did knock the price of the wine off. Thank you."

"cafe rogue. the cafe rouge, so they know what they expect. However, this particular industry has such courtesy employees especially with children who really went beyond and beyond to help us keep the children entertaining what was beautiful. eating was good and cheap, we were even recommended to go through the staff for a less expensive steak option, refreshing after we alredy given our order. for a chain they expect consistency in the thema food, but the personal made this special a much more pleasant to visit."

"Decided to try here as we were stopping at the Holiday Inn Express. Was surprised to see such a big bar area and a bit disappointed that there were numerous TV screens placed around it all showing football. Whilst this isn't advertised as a Sports Bar , it clearly is which means our table conversation had to compete with the TVs and the cheering guests at times. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't very busy and our orders were taken quickly and efficiently by very friendly staff. None of us were disappointed with our food but neither was anyone over the moon; it was just alright. There is an interesting selection of food on offer with a bias towards spicy and the katsu curry seemed a popular choice. We were a bit taken aback by the 10% service charge even though it was discretionary so beware. The staff were very polite and attentive but this may be because they weren't very busy so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall, this was not an unpleasant experience but I doubt we'll be returning."

"I am very happy with the food I had for the first time at nr. 35 mackenzie walk. it looked very good and tasted even better. I was not too sharp on the sausages in the house breakfast, but everything else was delicious and cooked for perfection. beautiful setting, both inside and outside, but we felt that the staff was a little distracted. maybe a stressful Sunday? service was fast, although the restaurant was quite empty. the prices were a little high ÂŁ13 for eggs royal in a casual room seemed like much, but we had a nice time anyway. all in all, recommended. go back."
