"When you arrive at the extremely aptly named restaurant ‘CARACTÈRE’, the sense of the character of this place begins before you even walk through the door. Closed shut and almost a little unwelcoming looking this creates an element of mystery. After you walk through the door you are greeted by the extremely attentive and friendly staff who will show you to the table and walk you through the very creative menu. We opted for the 3 course A La Carte which is reasonably priced at £78, especially given the location and quality. The waiters asked if we wanted an apéritif and swiftly delivered it with ‘pleasure’. Before ensuring we enjoyed a very hospitable evening with high quality and delicious dishes all round. I throughly enjoyed the experience and would just like to say two words to the owner if they are reading this. Thank you."
