"Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to eat in season mayfair when I arrived, the restaurant was closed, tables stacked on top of each other, chairs chained and padlocked. there was a complete waste of time, not to mention, there was no announcement to show if there were any problems that had occurred, the number of restaurants was meaningless no answer. I went so far to check online to see the status of the restaurant, it said it was open, but was not the case. a complete disappointment"

"This place is fantastic. Definitely go to the bar before your meal, there is a great vodka menu with lots of really interesting infusions. Mini martinis are a great idea, let's you try a few things. The food was top notch, very interesting flavours. They mentioned to us a new menu soon which sounded good too. And the staff were all really on the ball and friendly. We will definitely be back."

"Visited for brunch for my Mums birthday this weekend. The food and wine was lovely, Caesar salad was outstanding. The views and decor in the hotel and restaurant are fantastic. What really made the trip was the service we received, all staff were so polite and even brought out a slice of cake for my Mum which we appreciated so much. Downstairs Derek, on the reception took lots of photos of us and gave us great information about London and how to get about. Will definitely be back the next time we visit!! Thank you so much for a memorable lunch for my Mums big birthday!"

"A restaurant that has been recommended a couple of times by different friends, and one which we have been to a few times for our fix of good Chinese food. On this occasion we treated my Partner 's nephew and niece (a fussy eater) to a meal in China Town (in the big city of London). All enjoyed good food, with decent servings, in a restaurant decorated in typical Chinese restaurant style. They were happy to pack up the leftovers for us to take home. The service was punctual and efficient, but it cannot be described as friendly (it is not unfriendly). Attempts at conversing with the staff were rebuffed. We did requested chopsticks with rubber bands for the children, and these were supplied after a delay, but no offer of help to show the children how to use chopsticks. We would go again, as we enjoyed the food and as I said the service was efficient and punctual."

"The service was poor. Upon arrival the lady couldn’t find my name on the list (but I could, immediately). She said there’s seven in our party: no there wasn't, there was just two of us. Ah, she’d not read it, we were table seven. Ordered two flat whites and received one plus a Cappuccino. The other waiter then balled out the waitress for getting it wrong showing us his digital order and how he was in the right. Not professional. Also, it was only half full in the middle of December. Not a good sign. Loved the food but the service wasn’t good enough. Come on guys, it’s the City. You’ll not get repeat business like this."

"Perhaps less accessible than the other Grind siblings in town since this one doesn't open in weekends. Although they still manage to have friendly staff to deliver a consistent quality of their signature products, not only the coffee but also the classic-chic interior with a modern hipster twist. However I can imagine how busy it becomes in the mornings during the week. My flat white was one of the best ones in the recent few weeks time, creamy texture, gently punchy taste and subtle but firm aroma. Absolutely worth to check it out when in this side of the town during the week."

"I like the Sauterelle, which is nearby and has always provided a pleasing level of refinement without being fussy. On this occasion, we were kept waiting at our table for a nearly 20 minutes before being even offered a drink or having an order taken. Service, this time, was a touch brusque. Perhaps some front-of-house staff had gone missing, leaving the rest under pressure. The wine-list seems to have been pruned recently (although I may be wrong about this) and is both lacking in variety and frankly expensive. Food remains very good, and the ambience is still discreet and pleasant."

"WOW Café Colbert is an absolute showstopper. My friend and I came here for dinner after seeing a show next door at the Royal Court Theatre and from the moment we walked in it was a 5* experience. Everything from the incredibly warm, friendly and attentive staff/service to the beautiful French bistro décor and of course the super delicious food made for a fantastic evening! I can highly recommend the stunning Côte de Boeuf served with French Fries (the best steak and chips I've ever had in my life) and their famous banana split dessert (which is perfect for sharing and brings back very happy childhood memories). My friend has the heritage tomato salad and the chicken paillard both of which he said were extremely tasty and fresh. Overall an outstanding dining experience you can see why they are always full so make sure you reserve a table in advance. 10/10 Highly recommended I'm always looking forward to coming back here again very soon. They really have the magic sauce."

"We were there for a birthday. Had a reservation. Great table. Nice server. We had fries and crab bon bons as a starter and then waited mins for chilled crab. The server came by and asked us if we wanted a dessert menu. We told him we never got our meal...still took about mins to get our meal after all of this and there was nothing done to remedy the mishap. for two people for lunch with very little food is a bit extreme."

"We were invited to have dinner at this restaurant to celebrate a friend. As Brazilians, we love Portuguese cuisine. The dishes we chose were top-notch in both taste and presentation, receiving a 5/5 rating from us. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a refreshing white sangria. "When I was invited to review Murakami I spent some time trying to work out why I thought I’d been there before. That sense of deja vu came not from a restaurant but from a series of books which I have sitting on my shelf including ‘The Wind Up Bird Chronicle’ and ‘Kafka on the Shore’. In fact, the restaurant is intended to be an Izakaya, a kind of Japanese gastro-pub where you can eat and drink in a relatively informal setting. And, in the heart of London, at the top of St Martin’s Lane, that is no bad thing."

"Visiting on business trip and decided to try this restaurant out. The food was good but there was a lack of engagement from staff, we are used to excellent customer service from other local restaurants. We were offered water and accepted but believed this was complimentary due to how it was offered, we were astonished to find out we had been charged around £5. It should have been made clear that there was a charge for this. The food,albeit good, took a while to arrive with little interaction from the staff who appeared to be chatting amongst themselves. We were further shocked and surprised by the service charge on the bill. This is not so.ething we are used to or have experienced before, as I say, we are visiting on business. I have since learned that this is optional and we could have refused it but this was not made clear and we felt forced to pay it. All in all this visit left us feeling somewhat disappointed and underwhelmed. Please be more clear with what is being charged for and the options to those expected to pay!"

"The restaurant offers amazing dining experience with stunning surroundings. Everything was perfect - from the interior and facility to the excellent service. During our lunch visit, we selected a special menu available during lunch hours, which was fantastic. Our only suggestion is that our main course should have come with rice or bulgur wheat. "Exceptional standard of food! I don’t think I’ve ever had lamb as tender as this it melted in your mouth! Cocktails were delicious, Kids portion is plenty big enough I would have been happy with this size myself. They brought out a birthday dessert free of charge which was a lovely extra. "We had a lovely anniversary lunch here with Seon as our server. She was kind enough to explain all dietary restrictions and anything that might not be obvious. We had a few starters, the dumplings and the squid were amazing. The highlight was the dipping sauce that came with the fried squid. We also ordered the chicken bento box, in the sweet and spicy sauce. Amazing. Seon kept checking in on us time to time and ensured our experience was lovely."

"This was our first visit to a Spanish restaurant, La Paella Tapas Bar, after searching for a few months. The atmosphere was beautiful and cozy, complemented by lovely music. "that was my first time in the city souvlaki and definitiw the last thing that is a scandal, because eating was nice, we couldn't blame it. I wish that could be said about the waitress. Every time she came to our table, she rolled her eyes and she saw it to other guests too, but not the ones that she knew we were creeping. I am a Greek cypriot, but I shouldn't flicker to get good service. a good service should be given to everyone, regardless of where they come from."
