"Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to eat in season mayfair when I arrived, the restaurant was closed, tables stacked on top of each other, chairs chained and padlocked. there was a complete waste of time, not to mention, there was no announcement to show if there were any problems that had occurred, the number of restaurants was meaningless no answer. I went so far to check online to see the status of the restaurant, it said it was open, but was not the case. a complete disappointment"

"This place is fantastic. Definitely go to the bar before your meal, there is a great vodka menu with lots of really interesting infusions. Mini martinis are a great idea, let's you try a few things. The food was top notch, very interesting flavours. They mentioned to us a new menu soon which sounded good too. And the staff were all really on the ball and friendly. We will definitely be back."

"We had a reservation at 10/1030pm which we attended. However one of the guests left around 1130 and paid the bill on her exit however when the rest of us left we were given the bill to pay. My sister paid £107 when she left which was the entire bill. The remaining 3 guests including myself were issued with another bill which was split two ways £46.53 each we paid this bill should not have come as after paying the £107 there was nothing ordered to the table. There seems to be an error. We were not given an itemised bill we were just told the amount of the second bill and we decided to split two ways between two of us guests, as at this point we were not aware our sister who left earlier had paid the entire bill. No member of staff informed us of this either but they would have been fully aware this was paid and no further drinks were ordered to our table. We need a refund to be issued. Absolutely disappointed that staff still took payment for god knows what instead of telling us the bill had been paid."

"Harry's Bar at Ironmonger lane is possibly one of the best high end pubs in City. The pub has a dining space on the first floor and drinking area downstairs. It even has designated private smoking area if you wish to try one of its fine cigars, which as the pub claims, if enjoyed with the heating and music, makes you feel as if you are in Cuba! They have a good selection of rum to go with the cigars. Food is tastefully decorated and taste is top notch. Service is also good but what may pinch is the price. You may find price to be higher than average but it is certainly compensated by the quality service, ambiance and cigars which you can get here."

"The service was poor. Upon arrival the lady couldn’t find my name on the list (but I could, immediately). She said there’s seven in our party: no there wasn't, there was just two of us. Ah, she’d not read it, we were table seven. Ordered two flat whites and received one plus a Cappuccino. The other waiter then balled out the waitress for getting it wrong showing us his digital order and how he was in the right. Not professional. Also, it was only half full in the middle of December. Not a good sign. Loved the food but the service wasn’t good enough. Come on guys, it’s the City. You’ll not get repeat business like this."

"Perhaps less accessible than the other Grind siblings in town since this one doesn't open in weekends. Although they still manage to have friendly staff to deliver a consistent quality of their signature products, not only the coffee but also the classic-chic interior with a modern hipster twist. However I can imagine how busy it becomes in the mornings during the week. My flat white was one of the best ones in the recent few weeks time, creamy texture, gently punchy taste and subtle but firm aroma. Absolutely worth to check it out when in this side of the town during the week."

"the royal exchange is such an important and historical london building that I find it hard not to love it, although its latest incarnation as Bling Palace is perhaps not the best view in its 500-year history. the unpaid diamonds that surround them, but also give occasion to men in suits and earcups that run on the first sign of a camera in fear that they will rob the joint ' for a future. but my agenda is nothing worse than photographing their fish and chips. I grab a picture of desserts also for good action on the risk of eviction and bravely put me out there for blogger art. that said I wasn't the first to pamper the authorities here...read more"

"I like the Sauterelle, which is nearby and has always provided a pleasing level of refinement without being fussy. On this occasion, we were kept waiting at our table for a nearly 20 minutes before being even offered a drink or having an order taken. Service, this time, was a touch brusque. Perhaps some front-of-house staff had gone missing, leaving the rest under pressure. The wine-list seems to have been pruned recently (although I may be wrong about this) and is both lacking in variety and frankly expensive. Food remains very good, and the ambience is still discreet and pleasant."

"WOW Café Colbert is an absolute showstopper. My friend and I came here for dinner after seeing a show next door at the Royal Court Theatre and from the moment we walked in it was a 5* experience. Everything from the incredibly warm, friendly and attentive staff/service to the beautiful French bistro décor and of course the super delicious food made for a fantastic evening! I can highly recommend the stunning Côte de Boeuf served with French Fries (the best steak and chips I've ever had in my life) and their famous banana split dessert (which is perfect for sharing and brings back very happy childhood memories). My friend has the heritage tomato salad and the chicken paillard both of which he said were extremely tasty and fresh. Overall an outstanding dining experience you can see why they are always full so make sure you reserve a table in advance. 10/10 Highly recommended I'm always looking forward to coming back here again very soon. They really have the magic sauce."

"We were there for a birthday. Had a reservation. Great table. Nice server. We had fries and crab bon bons as a starter and then waited mins for chilled crab. The server came by and asked us if we wanted a dessert menu. We told him we never got our meal...still took about mins to get our meal after all of this and there was nothing done to remedy the mishap. for two people for lunch with very little food is a bit extreme."

"We were invited to have dinner at this restaurant to celebrate a friend. As Brazilians, we love Portuguese cuisine. The dishes we chose were top-notch in both taste and presentation, receiving a 5/5 rating from us. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a refreshing white sangria. "Visiting on business trip and decided to try this restaurant out. The food was good but there was a lack of engagement from staff, we are used to excellent customer service from other local restaurants. We were offered water and accepted but believed this was complimentary due to how it was offered, we were astonished to find out we had been charged around £5. It should have been made clear that there was a charge for this. The food,albeit good, took a while to arrive with little interaction from the staff who appeared to be chatting amongst themselves. We were further shocked and surprised by the service charge on the bill. This is not so.ething we are used to or have experienced before, as I say, we are visiting on business. I have since learned that this is optional and we could have refused it but this was not made clear and we felt forced to pay it. All in all this visit left us feeling somewhat disappointed and underwhelmed. Please be more clear with what is being charged for and the options to those expected to pay!"

"Exceptional standard of food! I don’t think I’ve ever had lamb as tender as this it melted in your mouth! Cocktails were delicious, Kids portion is plenty big enough I would have been happy with this size myself. They brought out a birthday dessert free of charge which was a lovely extra. Service was great, so all in all I would highly recommend this restaurant and I’m already looking forward to next time! Thank you. "We had a lovely anniversary lunch here with Seon as our server. She was kind enough to explain all dietary restrictions and anything that might not be obvious. We had a few starters, the dumplings and the squid were amazing. The highlight was the dipping sauce that came with the fried squid. "that was my first time in the city souvlaki and definitiw the last thing that is a scandal, because eating was nice, we couldn't blame it. I wish that could be said about the waitress. Every time she came to our table, she rolled her eyes and she saw it to other guests too, but not the ones that she knew we were creeping. I am a Greek cypriot, but I shouldn't flicker to get good service. a good service should be given to everyone, regardless of where they come from."

"Brilliant food and a lovely small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We both had the chargrilled asparagus and artichoke salad from the special board, it was outstanding. For mains we both had pizza, I had the ham and mushroom and my Mrs had a plant based one. Absolutely delicious obviously top quality ingredients. I finished off with tiramisu which was really good. The staff were all fantastic which was the icing on the cake. Thank you Well worth a visit."
