"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to eat in season mayfair when I arrived, the restaurant was closed, tables stacked on top of each other, chairs chained and padlocked. there was a complete waste of time, not to mention, there was no announcement to show if there were any problems that had occurred, the number of restaurants was meaningless no answer. I went so far to check online to see the status of the restaurant, it said it was open, but was not the case. a complete disappointment"

"We had a reservation at 10/1030pm which we attended. However one of the guests left around 1130 and paid the bill on her exit however when the rest of us left we were given the bill to pay. My sister paid £107 when she left which was the entire bill. The remaining 3 guests including myself were issued with another bill which was split two ways £46.53 each we paid this bill should not have come as after paying the £107 there was nothing ordered to the table. There seems to be an error. We were not given an itemised bill we were just told the amount of the second bill and we decided to split two ways between two of us guests, as at this point we were not aware our sister who left earlier had paid the entire bill. No member of staff informed us of this either but they would have been fully aware this was paid and no further drinks were ordered to our table. We need a refund to be issued. Absolutely disappointed that staff still took payment for god knows what instead of telling us the bill had been paid."

"Harry's Bar at Ironmonger lane is possibly one of the best high end pubs in City. The pub has a dining space on the first floor and drinking area downstairs. It even has designated private smoking area if you wish to try one of its fine cigars, which as the pub claims, if enjoyed with the heating and music, makes you feel as if you are in Cuba! They have a good selection of rum to go with the cigars. Food is tastefully decorated and taste is top notch. Service is also good but what may pinch is the price. You may find price to be higher than average but it is certainly compensated by the quality service, ambiance and cigars which you can get here."

"I met with a friend for a girls' catchup and enjoyed a delicious meal with a very friendly waiter taking care of us. The restaurant offered an excellent deal with three courses and 'bottomless prosecco', but it's important to note that the bottomless part only lasts for the first hour of dining. This detail was not clear on the Opentable website when we made our reservation. However, this did not detract from our enjoyable evening, and I would definitely recommend this venue."

"A gift for my 60th birthday. Was so excited as I thought it was in the big west end store, but no, it was in an old bank building, soulless in the city. Emails said to upload photo so they can greet you personally on arrival. Did as instructed but had to hover and wave the maitre’d on arrival. Wasn’t overly busy and a nice young lady seated us. All tables are small (for2only) and in a bright central space, surrounded by jewellery shops, and of course Fortnum &Mason tea and gift shop. It wasn’t cozy and welcoming, more like sitting in an airport departure lounge. 2 afternoon tea towers delivered, with tea,coffee and champagne. The table isn’t large enough for 2 towers, 2 cups, teapot, champagne and water glasses. It’s awkward. AND THE TABLE WOBBLED. Hubby had to keep his foot firmly on the base of central pedestal to reduce the wobble. What should’ve been relaxed, cozy, maybe even romantic was more like a supermarket cafe experience. So disappointing. Maybe go to the Swan in Southwold, they know how to do afternoon tea, they offer a huge offering of savory, Inc. mini fish and chips, then an enormous cake/dessert selection Fortnums afternoon tea £48p/p Swan Southwold afternoon tea £42 Inc champagne. I know where I will go next time. It won’t be F&M"

"I like the Sauterelle, which is nearby and has always provided a pleasing level of refinement without being fussy. On this occasion, we were kept waiting at our table for a nearly 20 minutes before being even offered a drink or having an order taken. Service, this time, was a touch brusque. Perhaps some front-of-house staff had gone missing, leaving the rest under pressure. The wine-list seems to have been pruned recently (although I may be wrong about this) and is both lacking in variety and frankly expensive. Food remains very good, and the ambience is still discreet and pleasant."

I had to push over the cocktails, the warm and friendly staff and the art of the decorations! I could have gone on and on as if it were my dissertation. it is so good and so we love this place. seriously if they are abandoned by prejudice, idiotic or grudging comments. do not hang them, experience it yourself, please! a thing that I must warn, although the price and the menu online is different from the home menu, they are much exciting and reasonable! they promised to check this question as soon as I have informed them the differences. give this beautiful seafood place an attempt and if they go with an expectation, they will let it expect from a good crumb bowl, then they will 't be disappointed safe!"

"We found the menus to be quite complicated. There were six of us eating and two if us arrived a bit late. Overall I found the street food dishes to be delicious and we ordered of them on the advice of the friendly waitress. We mainly stuck to that menu. Two of us shared a bottle of white wine and that menu choice was limited options from memory. The rest drank beer. I also had a margarita which was fab. We had tacos and salsaguacamole dips to start as well all very nice. Some of us ordered dessert the donuts with choc dip v average and a tart which was like a creme caramel no pastrybiscuit base which they weren't expecting. Overall I would go back but the I have to say the service from the chap waiter who took over when we moved to a bigger table helped to complicate it all for us. He seemed as confused as we were at times"

The food was good but there was a lack of engagement from staff, we are used to excellent customer service from other local restaurants. We were offered water and accepted but believed this was complimentary due to how it was offered, we were astonished to find out we had been charged around £5. It should have been made clear that there was a charge for this. The food,albeit good, took a while to arrive with little interaction from the staff who appeared to be chatting amongst themselves. We were further shocked and surprised by the service charge on the bill. This is not so.ething we are used to or have experienced before, as I say, we are visiting on business. I have since learned that this is optional and we could have refused it but this was not made clear and we felt forced to pay it. All in all this visit left us feeling somewhat disappointed and underwhelmed. Please be more clear with what is being charged for and the options to those expected to pay!"

"Exceptional standard of food! I don’t think I’ve ever had lamb as tender as this it melted in your mouth! Cocktails were delicious, Kids portion is plenty big enough I would have been happy with this size myself. They brought out a birthday dessert free of charge which was a lovely extra. "eating is really good, well presented too. it is a bit confusing for everyone (like I) used to dessert traditional starter/main. instead they have tapas and bigger dishes. since when was tapas a Korean word? what does that mean in this connection? it is impossible to know how much to order and the presented photos of menu items were not much of a note. there were more bottles of wein and sake (Japanese, probably) to drink than Korean, (class camp the only real I could see). the staff was pleasant and helpful, but seemed a little overstretched. we would have received more advice on what to order, regarding the quantity of food, the timing of the failure, etc. the restaurant is quite small and seemed only able to manage peak times bookings. you need to book this time. worth a visit."

"My son and girlfriend always rave about this restaurant in Islington. And at last we were able to join them. Quite frankly it doesn't get any better than this.
