"I visited Putney Canteen to meet my friend Danielle Kinsella for brunch a few weeks ago. I had heard about this place on Zomato and wanted to try it out. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast, which included 2 poached eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, a vegetarian sausage, a hash brown, spinach, and toast. I was disappointed that the eggs were overcooked and not runny. Despite this, the rest of the breakfast was a good value for the price. We also shared the delicious banana pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup. We sat near the kitchen and enjoyed reading more about the restaurant."

"Would NOT recommend this place in the slightest. One member of staff was very over the top. The food was absolutely awful and my partner actually felt slightly poorly after. The cottage pie is NOT homemade! It was awful and the chips were FOUL! Gravy poured all over the food too with no option given of where you would like it. The quiche and salad was just ok with little taste. The decor inside is very dated and wallpaper hanging off the wall and cello-taped on the walls. Not a great place in the slightest and I would not return. We refused to pay for the cottage pie as it was awful and not eaten and then I was changed more for the one main meal I had! I questioned the bill at the end and the guy making the drinks was very very rude and not helpful with the receipt. He only said we would see it after we paid and was still charged more."

"Best price service. menu also good. the food was super portioning, and the mouthwater to see both on the hill and delicious. So, my eating porn-pic. I'm not a good photographer. so my bowl of food is probably too invisible. but if you read this, check the photo. ha ha the greenhouse in scoffers kitchen is so beautiful sweet with the tree grows inside and the fairy lights. humm pretty ambiente. in any case, there are no cold feet here.
