"This has always been a very good quality fish and chip shop/restaurant which we visit about 5 or 6 times a year, this week we were disappointed to note that their high standards have dropped. Though the quantity was provided the quality wasn't. Regrettably the fish and the chips tasted as though they had been fried in oil that was long overdue for a change. The tang and aftertaste was not too pleasant. There were different staff attending so maybe it has changed hands and not such stringent attention is given to the basics, the cost of fresh oil should not be an excuse as the cost of the portions has of course increased significantly. I hope it has returned to a higher standard for our next visit, otherwise we shall go elsewhere."
