"First time visiting. The staff were really friendly and the food was generous in portion size and well presented. We had the goats cheese croquettes,mackerel to start and steak and chicken skewerr for the main course. Will definitely visit again.....ask for the Early Bird menu as we were not given it but it saved us money!"

"After seeing advertised that they had won best fish and chip shop in Sussex we had to try. We've lived in Chichester for years but rarely eat fish and chips, but we decided to on this occasion. We can see why they have been voted the best! The fish was crispy and chips. The kids loved the nuggets! They took care when writing our order and swiftly called out our names after a few mins with it ready! It was really busy and to remember our names was a real treat! We shall be eating here much more often"

"We were passing by and were intrigued when we saw this restaurant, so we decided to turn around and stop here instead. We tried the cullen skink, which was absolutely fantastic. It was the best we had during our trip to Scotland. The house-made sourdough bread was delicious, and the fish and chips were the best we've had in Scotland. The addition of citrus and dill in the batter for the fish really elevated the dish. We noticed that the fish and chips were less salty here compared to the states, but that was easily remedied on our own. The onion rings were cooked perfectly and are a must-try if you're in the Inverness area, which isn't too far away - just a short car ride."

"Great selection of beers and home cooked food at decent prices. Always busy so a buzz about the place, even on a wet Monday afternoon! Separate dining area, pool table and an outdoor space. Really good pub if you’re looking for somewhere in the Liverpool Street Shoreditch area. Used this place once as a base for a (hobbyist) model photoshoot on a quiet Saturday afternoon snacks, a drink and somewhere for the model to change all staff were interested and supportive! EDIT: Now permanently closed although Google Maps currently doesn’t recognise my edit!"

"Nice location, good vibe. Liked the booth style seating. Servers were all polite and friendly, except one guy who was over enthusiastic to the point of being annoying. Came to the table, I'm not joking, about 4 times in 10 mins to ask if we were ready. He interrupted conversations. That was for the main course. He did the same thing for desert, and it was so distracting and annoying we decided not to have anything and left. Food was all great, except the burger which was MINISCULE!!! I've never seen anything so tiny, and didn't even come with fries. Chicken and sides were delicious."
