"I have frequented this restaurant many times in the past, but recently I have noticed a decline in quality. I decided to give them one last chance and ordered an extra large portion of Donner meat and chips. Unfortunately, I was once again disappointed. The amount of Donner meat was minimal, probably only about 10% of the dish. Essentially, I paid £7 for mostly chips. The prices have also increased significantly, while the portion sizes have become unreasonably small. This will be my final visit to this establishment."

"Having visited this take away whilst on business, I ordered a large pizza, was charged £11.95 plus 45p to pay with card. Whilst waiting outside for the pizza to be made, I noticed the advertised price for any large pizza was £7.99. I returned to...the cashier to ask why I was charged more than the advertised price. The manager was called to explain'. His response was, we advertise a price of £7.99 but if you do not ask for that price, we charge you £11.95. Quite astonished and expecting some form of apology along with a refund for the difference, I was met with an argumentative manager' who simply asserted it was my fault for not asking for the advertised price! I demanded a refund and sadly had to find an alternative take away (which turned out to provide a better service, product amd price). Very disappointing indeed!"

"Just wanted to write this review so that others may consider alternative venue when they are faced with the choice at a very difficult and sad time. This hotel gets plenty of business from nearby funeral directors I assume because of is location but they are uncompassionate, unprofessional and unconcerned about your experience. When we arrived after leaving the funeral directors to book the reception I stood waiting for a period of time to be attended to. Eventually an employee on his break went through and got a staff member. She had me stand at the reception, recite details showing no empathy for our situation, when booking my father in laws at the Seamill Hydro we were sat away from the reception and treated in a caring way. When we arrived at the time booked after the funeral we stood at the reception for a period of time before being shown through. No offer of condolences offered. As for the drinks on arrival, we waited a good 10 minutes before any orders taken missing out 4 guests. Eventually food came out slowly. We were given one coffee/tea and the staff left. We tried to find staff to see if we could have more coffee and order more drinks but staff found not be found. I had over estimated the number of people who attended but even though we paid for food for more people my guests were not offered anymore sandwiches, sausage rolls etc. When settling the bill I was of course charged for the food/drinks that never appeared and was not asked if everything was ok. A basic courtesies in the hospitality business. Please consider alternatives before booking here, it is easy money for them and they do not care n anyway about the customer. I contacted the Lynnhurst Hotel 3 days ago and unsurprisingly they have not responded."

"Went here for the first time recently, absolutely love how customisable and affordable everything is. The vegan cheese isn’t the best and sort of gets lost at times, but you still get a nice creamy taste. The vegan fried chicken is good too. Would like to try the blondie but it looks a lot smaller on the counter than I was expecting. Would recommend booking aheadand ask for the vegan menu."

"our first stay in the village hotel was brilliant. we have a lot, so the stay was very cheap. room was very clean, could have been done with a mini fridge, but it is not a big thing. we really enjoyed it with the pool steam bath. brilliant with a star-corner in the space that was handy for a morning coffee. the only thing I would mention is the noise of the gym tomorrow is quite loud, we were in the 3rd floor, and we were awakened by loud music at 8 o'clock, so did not get the sleep we hoped we had. dining room service was nice, but only a little expensive. great hotel, anyway, and would certainly return."

"Come here everytime we come blackpool. 2-3 times a year. Got the meal deal. 2x pizzas, garlic bread chips and a drink. 19.90 paid online so 15%discount. Happy days. Went to collect and seen the chicken shwarma looking banging. Have some of that. Charged me £6quid for a tray of it. Small tray at that. Would of been cheaper to get it as a kebab. My fault should of checked what they was going to charge first. Asked for 4 shady little tubs of sauce. Tried charging me 2quid. Asked him to remove them. Food though was tasty. Garlic bread not the best"

"an amazing location in an amazing location. the restaurant has seating in the inside area as well as an outside area with heating and the seating over the lake and the trees. eating is delicious; varied and suitable for carnivores and vegetarians. I recommend the lamb cuts that were perfectly cooked. the personal is polite and accommodating and has provided my dessert as a birthday surprise with a special touch. "Took some family members (7) for carvery at 4pm Sunday. Starters dried up , soup wouldn’t come out of jug so had to remove lid tip out . Just a lump of cold congealed mess . Bread rolls rock solid. Main was equally terrible , end of dried up turkey (server apologised) ham fatty and no beef. Veg and potatoes soggy and just leftover from early in the day . So greasy and cold . All got left . There was a table with breakfast food on it , ie, croissants, jam . Seeded muffing and granola. This is what my two grandsons ate . We complained to server , he laughed and said yes it’s left over from breakfast! Never ever in my 60 years have I had such an embarrassing and inedible meal . I’ve never ever left a negative comment on any site before but this was totally unacceptable. I’ve sent an email but not sure if I’ve sent it correctly. We spent a great deal of money on this meal and had to take the children to a fast food outlet on the way home . I was very upset as I had chosen this venue felt very upset embarrassed by the whole experience. Needless to say we won’t be returning or recommending this carvery experience. Someone seriously needs to look at the quality of food . Potatoes , supposedly roast where just white in colour and covered in grease . There was maybe 10 potatoes in the server and there was 7 of us in our party but we asked and told there wasn’t any more . Why we stayed I do not know . Several days later I cannot stop thinking about this meal and feel incredulous that we didn’t ask for a refund, probably just much to polite to do so ."

"I would give this restaurant no stars, if possible, or even negative stars. We placed our order using their app, which did not allow us to make any modifications. Our order arrived after an hour and 20 minutes, despite being told it would only be a one-hour wait. The pizza was flavorless, the burger meal deal did not come with the drink or chips, and the burger itself was described by my boyfriend as tasting like "seasoned cardboard" - horrendously bland. My mom's chicken kebab only had three pieces of chicken in the entire pita. My dad had to go pick up the missing chips himself because the delivery driver was unavailable."

"Started by phoning to make a booking,this was horrendous in the end I phoned central reservations and they put me through to the restaurant. I asked if the carvery was still available they assured me it was. Arrived at restaurant nobody came to show us or table we asked at the bar they pointed to where it was.sat at the table no one came to explain where the starters were or anything else. We found the starters or should I say where the remains or maybe not were. No plates to put the food on had to go and find someone The cold plate of meat what was left was spattered with cream from the desserts which was right next to it on the table,salad was non existent had to find someone again to explain all this. The main course was almost the same very little meat left the beef was the best and that was pretty miserely. The veg and the yorkshires were only just above blood heat. My advice is don't go anywhere near this carvery any later than mid afternoon. ."
