"I am appalled that after booking weeks in advance via Open Table for a reservation at the Filini Restaurant my wife and I arrived to find the venue pre booked for an organised corporate event so that we then had to find an alternative restaurant on a cold night in Birmingham to celebrate my wife's birthday. I find the Open Table service highly disappointing when we had booked far in advance Open Table even sent me a reminder of the booking on the day! to then trek out somewhere and find another restaurant (at additional expense because you will realise choice would have been limited on a Saturday night). I am loath to recommend the Open Table service to anyone else and would like to share my disappointment at this unreliable service I would have thought that the whole point of using a service such as Open Table would be the ability to rely on any arrangements and it is Open Table'a responsibility to inform people when things go awry as it happened we were under the impression that we had a table booked up to the point we arrived at the restaurant....!"

"This was my first visit to the restaurant for a few months. The choices available to me were good and there were many things for me to try. I did have three courses even though I normally have two. I had the soufflé to start and the fish main course. Both were excellent. There were many choices of vegetable and they were all things I like. The pudding was the best bit, a black currant meringue eton mess with black currant sorbet and cream. I had a glass of Merlot which was also excellent. The meal was good value for money and I would recommend the restaurant without question."
