"Been here many times and the food is always good, never had a bad meal yet. This Christmas instead of all the hassle of cooking a Christmas dinner we decided to eat out. We chose the Garrison because it is guaranteed good food and value for money. The four of us were made very welcome as usual , the Christmas decorations looked lovely without it being over done and the service was fantastic, well done staff. The tables looked immaculate with the beautiful white tablecloths and centre decoration, all the bookings were spaced out which made it better all round for everyone including the kitchen.. It was very well organised. Now for the food, we all had different starters, I had the smoked salmon pate with salad and toast plus a half of smoke salmon fish, ample portion. My husband had the belly pork and plenty of it, I could have eaten it myself when I saw it. For main I chose the original turkey and all the years I've been eating turkey including cooking my own, this had to be the best, it was soo tender and tasty. The roast potatoes were proper roast potatoes not the froze ones that are rock hard once cooked. Everything on our plates were delicious and good portions including the sea bass and the roast beef and proper gravy mmm I could eat it all again. Our cheesecake desserts were fabulous , we had mince pies and truffles , tea , coffee and orange juice, they didn't skimp on anything. Well done to the chefs too and all who organised the day."
