"The original restaurant in India is the only restaurant from India which is on the list of the World Best 50 restaurants. Their London branch is not less though. Creative dishes in a fine dining style but still full of taste. We were a group of 8 and there was not a single dish that was not excellent. Decor is simple and basic. I would have given a 5 star rating if it was not for the disjointed service which started in a welcoming and efficient way but became slow and inefficient once the restaurant got busy. It was clear that they were under stuffed. What was really disappointing and gave us an indication that the restaurant doesn’t have a concept of customer service was when we asked for an ice cream that was on the set menu. The waiter was helpful; said that it should not be an issue but had to ask the manager who rejected the request and said they will only serve it had we ordered the set menu. I don’t understand why. It was just a dessert and we were going to pay for it. It is not a big issue but would have expected more of customer service and guest appreciation. I ordered a tea and they forgot about it but they included it in the bill. Need to be careful and check the bill."

"Definitely a restaurant to try if you like Indian food. Absolutely outstanding food at all 3 of their restaurants. Pricey but worth it in my opinion. Dinner was 175 GBP for 2 people with no drinks. Unfortunately the hostess at this restaurant has no manners and spoiled our experience at the beginning of the evening because we were late for the table. The rest of the team there did a great job though, and made up for the hostess' rudeness and obnoxious behaviour. She is the broken link in this restaurants chain of success and will really hurt the business in the long term. Once she is trained on the basics of hospitality at a 5 star restaurant, I will be able to give the restaurant a full 5 star review."
