"friendly staff, nice food very cheap, always pour a good pint and great majority of customers friendly. always very clean and never experienced any problems. Also a spacious decking that runs along the canal, which is beautiful in summer."

"We have stayed in Goathland for a few days opposite this hotel at the Goathland Hotel.but decided to have a meal.here. The food was very good,prepared freshly and served by a lovely girl. I don't have a big appetite and I was offered a light bites version of the meal I had selected. The wine was also to our taste. We conversed with a couple who were actually staying at this hotel and they couldn't fault it. The staff all signed a card thanking them for their custom, I though it was a lovely gesture.This hotel is more modern than where we stayed but we particularly wanted to stay at the place where Heartwas filmed!!!!!"
