"I invited two friends visiting from Singapore to join me for dinner at this restaurant on a Saturday night. The place was pretty, but surprisingly empty. Despite it being a busy night, there was only one other table of diners. For starters, I ordered langoustine, which was tasty. My friends opted for foie gras and Sea bass carpaccio. The foie gras was good, but the Seabass had a strong fishy smell, which was unappetizing. For the main course, I chose crab risotto, which lacked enough crab and flavor. My friends had linguine with clams and veal Milanese with a side of Dauphinoise potatoes. The linguine was gritty and had a shell in it, while the veal presentation was lacking. The Dauphinoise was too dry. For dessert, we enjoyed crepe suzette. Overall, the food was mediocre, but the worst part was the sommelier who overfilled our glasses, making it impossible to swill the wine. When asked not to overfill, he reacted unprofessionally. The only redeeming quality was the maitre d', who handled our complaints well, apologized, and made a partial adjustment to our bill. Despite this, the bill was still high at £90 per person. Due to the subpar food, unpleasant sommelier, and lack of atmosphere, I will not be returning."
