"I can't rate Horto anything lower than five stars, but I would gladly give it ten if I could. We had the delight of dining there on their first night after the COVID restrictions were lifted. From the warm welcome by Restaurant Manager Rory to being the last table to leave, we were truly impressed with the outstanding service from the entire team and the quality of the food. The menu descriptions don't do the dishes justice. Instead of the usual Starters, Mains, and Desserts, they offer a selection of small plates that are seasonally inspired and made with fresh ingredients from their own kitchen garden. They recommend choosing four plates per person, but since there were nine options available, we decided to try one of each to share between our couple. Each dish seemed to outshine the last, with fantastic flavors and textures. The Chawanmushi (smoked eel, peas, and wasabi) was something I would have never chosen on my own, yet it turned out to be the best thing I have ever tasted! A huge thank you to Rory and the team for making our experience so memorable. We will definitely be back!"
