"I can’t say much about the place other than that it was a disappointing visit. I was looking for a restaurant near the river to take some colleagues for lunch, and when I arrived at 1:30 PM, I could hear babies crying from a hundred yards away! There was no indication of this beforehand, and I was really relieved that I checked it out first. This place is definitely not suitable for a work lunch."

"I can't comment at all except that it was a wasted journey. I needed to find a place near the riverside, to take a group of colleagues for lunch.I arrived at and could hear the screaming babies and toddlers from away!No idea this was simply the back of a shop. So glad I went to try it first. Not suitable at all"

"This was our 2011 wedding venue and we decided to revisit some old memories as the food that day was excellent with great service and a pleasant atmosphere. We arrived on Saturday to a restaurant full of families with small children. The food and service was still excellent, apart from one wrong dish that was rectified quickly, and we were treated to a complimentary glass of prosecco to celebrate our return. My wife had the pork belly and I had the chicken with chorizo salad, both full of flavour and cooked perfectly. During the meal we noticed that the background music was apparently the soundtrack to a kids cartoon show and I noticed a Legoland poster in the foyer. It turns out there's a package deal for families visiting nearby Legoland at Windsor with accommodation at the Royal Berkshire included. In short the Fork menu itself is great, but the venue is targeting the family market heavily so don't expect a quiet couples night out, although if you like desserts the Fairground Platter with candy floss, mini ice cream cones will deliver a massive sugar rush so it's no surprise there were excitable children around."

"The food was very tasty with a good selection, brilliant salad bar to compliment the mains. Deserts were also plentiful with fresh waffles and pancakes being made. The resturant is in a good spot overlooking the Southwater lake and convenient for the park to work it off in afterwards (for adults and children . My only negative is that it wasn't as clean as it could have been. Crockery and cutlery not washed well so had to root for a suitable plate to use."

"The food at this restaurant was mediocre at best. Many dishes were overcooked and rubbery, with some appearing to be reheated. The salad was starting to go soggy and tasted off, while the noodles were both hard and burnt. Surprisingly, even the watermelon was dry, which is something I have never experienced before. Overall, it was quite disappointing, especially since we came for my daughter's birthday expecting a wide variety of choices but ended up with limited options. The price we paid did not match the quality of the food we received. I would not recommend this place."

"It was my first time eating here and I was very disappointed.the food was over cooked and even the noodles were hard!! The veg on display looked like it had been there for over a week, when the food ran out it took ages for then to re-fill it and having little ones with me who don't like waiting was a bit of a pain!! The kitchen looked dirty so I won't be coming back.only plus side was the staff they were pleasant.."

"If you're looking for super posh, it's not. But if you are looking for delicious homemade sandwiches, scones, cakes and desserts with all the extras and a smiling staff, this is a beautiful place. They built a beautiful corner of the garden for us then unfortunately began a light rain for only an hour, so we moved in. The Claremont is a small inn but a very noble small place. You can be the only one reserved for tea this day, but they still care about preparation and baking."
