"I am writing this review on behalf of my Grandparents, who ordered a meal to accommodate 4 people from this establishment for their 2020 Christmas dinner. When trying to complain, the Manager was abrupt, dismissive, rude and only expressed an interest in the complaint when my Grandmother mentioned that she had taken photos of the food in question. This is a very lengthy review, but I would urge people to read to the end , as my Grandparents have experienced appalling service from the manager of this establishment, and people need to know about this. They ordered paid for 4 meals and starters over the phone. Upon collection of the order, it was clear that the order was incorrect and not up to a satisfactory standard for example the rice orders were wrong (3 fried rice instead of boiled rice some kind of congealed pineapple chicken dish was supplied instead of lemon chicken, the chicken omelette was salty and soggy as it had so much oil in the container, and the chips were very dry and salty. Not worth a penny paid, or worth the trouble my Grandfather took to drive to collect the order . As mentioned above, the manager was very abrupt and dismissive of my Grandmother 's complaint (his initial response being what do you want me to do about that .......Even though he could see this had ruined their Christmas meal (this was supposed to be a rest for my Grandmother who cooks the other 364 days of the year . He was very keen for my Grandmother to throw the food away, she offered numerous times to return it to his establishment, but his reply each time was to throw the food away. When my Grandmother mentioned that she had taken photos, and then went onto mention that she could post the photos on the internet, the manager suddenly changed his tune. After a lengthy phone call, it was agreed that another order could be placed, free of charge for 1st January 2021. My grandmother checked again to see if the manager wanted to see the food as proof he said that he didn 't want to see it, and they agreed that my Grandfather would collect at an agreed time. On 1st January my Grandfather arrived at the agreed time, and nobody answered the door. Eventually somebody answered, and the manager was summoned. He asked to see proof of the original order, and so my Grandfather (bear in mind we are talking about a couple who are in their 70 's went back to his car, got his phone and took it back to show to the manager the photos. The manager 's response being nice photos no food and sent my Grandfather away. In the freezing cold, on New Year 's Day. Utterly disgusting treatment of a formally loyal customer. On the upside, my Grandfather happened to notice that another establishment nearby was open Wok Wok. Even though he hadn 't placed an order with them in advance they very kindly offered to cook his food to order if he didn 't mind waiting. Their food was perfect, their service was second to none and my grandparents are delighted to have found a new Chinese take away that respects and appreciates their custom. So, in the words of my Grandmother goodbye Golden Crown and hello Wok Wok."

"After I had passed the siam cottage for many years a day, but set on our way with another near-by-paurier, I decided one day to review their reviews online. there were a couple who had lived in Thailand for many years, but now live. in perth. they said they often make the 4 hours round trip to eat here, as there are “the most authentic Thai aromes they have tasted with Thai” (or words to this effect). with a selection of Thai Chinese dresses it offers for the whole family. I was always a chicken panang or pad thai type, with my partner more in lemon chicken or similar Chinese dishes. in the course of the years we have worked quite a lot on our wise, although the takeaway menu, various dishes that we otherwise do not have. since every court we have tried was excellent, it is encouraged to take a leap of faith try something new every time. our personal favorite is just now the chicken cashew thai style...a taste sensation! The chicken panang is on the same with everything I tasted in Thailand. the service is always excellent, delivery fast we have a smile a chat at the door hit when it comes. price is also very reasonable in consideration of the portion size, for restaurant quality eat directly to their door, it will not be much better than siam cottage. when collecting an order a night from the restaurant, I noticed that the dishes were delivered to tables, looked out raised, very well presented huge portions. the personal was also very attentively friendly. although in the decor in restaurant, we do not tend to visit restaurants for their facility anyway. we visit eating that customer service is confident that a visit would exceed our expectations. we have not sampled many starters/deserts from the Takeaway menu, so can not comment so much on them. we got starters as soon as they were beautiful, but with the portion size they get on their net pages....3 net, a part rice a part bohnenprout nudeln is a fixed for a family of 4 (two adult, two children). we look forward to our next taste feeling. keep them good work."

"We haven 't been here in quite a while but we were a bit short on time and didn 't want to travel too far for a quick lunch, so made a lunch booking as it was quite nearby. It is such a nice restaurant inside..,, nicely decorated and well laid out. We arrived about 10 mins early and were informed that they weren 't open yet and to wait outside... I explained that we had my very elderly mum who had severe mobility issues and they relented and said we could sit at the entrance until they opened. The staff were pretty helpful after that and even helped mum to our table. We ordered various starters : 1. Chicken sweetcorn soup it was very good thick creamy with plenty of chicken. 2. Chicken noodle soup this didn 't have much chicken it was pretty bland (had to add quite a bit of soy sauce to give it some flavour. 3. The veg spring rolls were not the greatest either they were those tiny wee mini ones again, pretty tasteless and again needing plenty of soy sauce to give some flavour. The mains weren 't the best either : 1. Chicken mushroom pretty tasteless and had more onion than chicken or mushroom.. very disappointing. 2. Breast of Chicken curry it tasted ok except it wasn 't a breast of chicken, it was cubes of chicken. 3. Beef curry ... the beef was a bit chewy and certainly, nowhere as nice as I have had here previously. We all had fried rice and this was the worst part of the meal very bland, quite mushy and over cooked... we found a hair in one portion. We quietly pointed this out to the staff when they were clearing the table... but they didn 't seem very interested.... just nodded and continued to clear the table. A bald chap (I believe may have been the manager and/or chef) came over lent over the back of the booth we were sitting at and very quietly said (whispered) that he had been told we had found a hair in one of the portions of rice and we acknowledged that this was the case... at which point he just said, we 'll obviously it wasn 't from me whilst pointing to his bald head. A bit taken aback by this, we just agreed and asked for the bill. So disappointing for what was a pretty good restaurant."
