"I would like to clarify straight off the bat that the five star review is for the chip shop portion of the shop only. There’s a lot of chat online about how this place does the best pizzas in Edinburgh. Well that’s up for debate. Granted, the pizzas are better than your standard chip shop pizza but I would be hesitant to claim these are the best pizzas in Edinburgh. I would have no problem however, claiming that this is one of the best places for fish and chips in Edinburgh. I would serve these chips at my wedding. Exactly what you’re looking for when you’re looking for a typical chippy and none of this posh chips hipster nonsense. Their battered sausage is nothing short of perfection. I’m vegetarian but I had to make an exception for the battered sausag- ok I’m not really but you get the point. The battered haddock is also superb. One of my top 3 chippies in Edinburgh."

"A group of us at Airth castle for a wedding had the restaurant close on us, so they gave us a room where we could order our own takeaway and sit together. Mine arrived last but it was worth the wait! By far the best chippie I have ever had in my life! It lured me in with its battered smoke sausage and snickers and now I'm hooked. The chips are also divine. Sadly I live in Stirling so this will only be an occasional treat for me (but what a treat! I convinced hubby to stop off here again last night and the food was just as good. Thank you so much Falcones and please keep up the good work because an amazing chippie is certainly hard to find and no longer exists in Stirling."
