"Foodie Explorers Glasgow Foodie Reviews of Glasgow Restaurants and food Food Blog Travel Blog. One of Edinburgh’s best Indian restaurants, near to Haymarket Railway Station. Located between the Jolly Botanist and Chop Chop on Morrison St, this is where the head chef (and many of the staff from the well-regarded Indian fine-dining restaurant Mithas have relocated after its closure in 2015. So if you were ever in Mumbai Mansion and remember seeing pakora on the menu pay it another visit and you’ll find that the menu is completely different now that it has the Mithas touch (did you see what I did there? ."

"We ate in here last night. It was early and clearly although the restaurant was empty, they were busy with takeaway trade. We had the Happy Hour menu and found the food to be attractively served and really very good. The waiters were smart and...friendly, making an effort to talk to us. We don't have hearty appetites these days and regretted not being able to finish our main courses. The waiter kindly allowed us to take the leftovers and packed it up nicely for us. It was just as nice today! Good luck to a very pleasant restaurant which turns out delicious food at very reasonable prices and has such pleasant staff."

"I was a bit apprehensive since my friend struggles with social anxiety, and it took a lot to persuade her to join us. Luckily, we were the only diners that day, which made her feel more at ease. The food was delicious; it was honestly the best Indian cuisine I've had in a long time. We will definitely be returning! They even took a picture of us and one for themselves to feature on their website. Thank you!"

"The presentation and packaging of the food is excellent, probably one of the best I’ve seen. However the quality and taste of the food is very bad not authentic at all. I ordered the fish madras and fish masala. The fish madras tasted very tomatoey like they just poured a whole tin of tomatoes with no spice or flavour, tasted more like a stew. The fish masala was basically like eating a desert, basically a ton of sugar and thick creamy coconut. I think they cater to a certain type of demographic"

"I would never come here again. Just a word of warning for those who see their vouchers on groupon..don't buy them as even though they're still selling them they won't accept them, nor let you in beyond the locked door. The guy who unlocked it was unapologetic unhelpful and turned us away.. if I could give no stars I would.."

"We’ve ordered from Paprika multiple times since moving to Reading and I honestly can’t rate them enough. The food is ALWAYS amazing and on time. I’ve never had a bad or even mediocre dish from them. The potions are plenty, the food always comes hot and is reasonable priced. The delivery driver is really friendly too. If they had a sit in restaurant I would be there all the time. 100% would recommend."

"This is probably the best curry I have ever tasted, and I have tried a lot of curry dishes. It is a bit expensive, but definitely worth it."

"Went for a work night out and Bombay Spice did not disappoint! They called a couple of hours before the reservation to confirm which was reassuring. On arrival a friendly welcome. We weren't rushed and everyone said they really enjoyed the food. Didn't have to wait long after ordering for things to arrive. Overall a great place. Tasty food, friendly staff, reasonably priced and a welcoming atmosphere."

"We made a last-minute dinner reservation for a party of 5 colleagues. Despite being busy on a Thursday, we really enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. The menu offers a variety of street food and South Indian style curries, with clear labels for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. I personally loved the mutar mushroom dish with rice and peshwari naan, which were all delicious. The vegetarian curries were a bit spicier than expected, so I recommend opting for milder options if you're not a fan of spice. The drinks menu was extensive, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful, and the service was excellent. The total bill came to £125 for papadum, main courses with rice and naan, drinks, and service for all five of us, which we felt was a fair price considering how full we were at the end of the meal."

"The food at this restaurant was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. However, the service was a little slow and inattentive at times. We and another table had trouble getting the attention of a waiter and some dishes were not delivered. It could have just been an issue that evening. Despite this, the food itself was excellent and I would definitely come back again."

"I used to order Indian takeout from this place for years, but after it changed ownership, the quality has declined. The menu now includes a choice of pilau rice or plain naan with every main dish, with an option to upgrade for an extra charge. They also offer a free side dish for pick-up orders, but there are some issues with this new system. Prices have increased noticeably, portion sizes have decreased, and the overall quality of the food has gone down. After more than a decade of ordering from this place, I have switched to a different restaurant where the menu is clearer, the quality is better, and the prices are more reasonable."

"Ordered a chicken korma. Quite possible the worst korma I’ve ever had, the sauce itself was fine but the chicken was so chewy and dry, it tasted like I was eating a rubber tire. Not over exaggerating!! I called them up regarding the issue and nothing was sorted."

"Sadly the service was a let down . Only two sweet waiters trying their best to keep up with the table orders and the phone take always and pick ups . The lights were too bright , and we were seated by the window where people passing on the bus and walking past could see exactly what we were eating . When the food finally arrived it was delicious . Well worth the wait . We got to meet the owner to and he kindly allowed us to voice our opinion which I believe he really took on board . I would have also preferred to hear Asian music instead of dated pop music. Dimmed lights , more privacy , more staff and Asian music . Certainly would be a big hit .. Lovely night over all and I wish this place well as the owner was such a gentleman ."

"Disappointed by the service which was indifferent to say the least. The owner was far more engaged with the various regulars coming in for take away. Food was mediocre. Wouldn't return."

"While in Moreton for work, I discovered that Raj Mahal was conveniently located near my hotel with a quick Google search. The staff guided me upstairs and despite being busy, I had the option to choose a table. I was promptly given a menu and placed my drink order. There was a slight delay (about 20 minutes) before my food order was taken, but the staff were apologetic as they were clearly busy serving other customers, making drinks, and taking phone orders. The menu offered a variety of delicious options at a reasonable price, and my food arrived hot and tasty. I definitely plan on returning as a customer! After my meal, I was provided with a complimentary hot towel and shot of spirits. The staff was attentive and friendly, and despite their suggestion not to leave a tip because of the delay in taking my food order, I felt that my overall experience deserved one. I highly recommend Raj Mahal for anyone looking for great food in the area."

"No 1. I've visited verandah for 30 years. I probably tried most dishes in the menu. if they ask me what I enjoyed most, then I will not be able to answer this question. "The restaurant has a dark color scheme and features plenty of booths for seating in an open layout."
