"This restaurant is one of the few places I visit on a regular basis and have done so over many years,many of our family and friends have now added it to there most frequent place to eat ,It gets very busy and we do have to sometimes wait ,but it is well worth it. I have a gluten and wheat allergy so I have some of my family so have to be very careful where and what we eat ,I am always worried about eating out so have to always double check there is nothing in what I order at any restaurants this is the only place I have used on a regular basis ,I have never had a problem here ,The good thing about Pakistani food is they never put wheat in as filler wheat is used in some dishes so ask first There are a variety of delicious flavors to choose from but once you have visited be aware you will want to keep going back , everyone I have taken have ended up being regular visitors to the restaurant my favorite dish Masala fish , these are also worth trying lamb Tikka grilled small pieces of lamb their mixed grill ,lamb Tikka Masala, chicken Pakora`s they are very busy and food is cooked fresh.These are authentic dishes with some very beautiful authentic flavors they do a variety of sweet dishes ,ice creams and drinks their mango milk shake is a favorite for my grandchildren , If you have anyone who may not want to eat spicy food just tell them they will always try to accommodate you .there is something for everyone .we went recently and yes we had to wait a little while but our guests said after eating ,they can now see why this is such a very busy restaurant and it was worth the 10 minute wait . sometimes there are 20 people in our party and we have never yet had a problem with the service staff are very friendly and happy to advice ,They do a take away service also They will also reserved tables for you 202-208 Ladypool Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham B12 8JS open from 12 Noon to 5 AM"

Two things influenced the evaluations for the ambience first, the background music was too loud for convenient conversation and secondly the child-friendly aspect. I didn't expect there to be children in sun loungers in the restaurant at 8:00. It's good for parents, but not so much for other diners."

"This is a beautiful restaurant with a fantastic lounge area. However, I wasn't aware that they served coffee at the end of the meal. The dining area is lovely, but it could benefit from some twinkling net lights or greenery on the stone walls to create a softer ambiance."

"I went on a date with my other half after lectures at Jenny Lind on a recommendation of a friend. And damn was it good. The service was lovely and also quick (we even tipped which is something I hardly ever do), the interior was quirky, the sound of the trains added to the atmosphere, music good but most of all, the food was amazing! A little salty for me but not really an issue but the meat was perfect and everything else inside beautiful. Not a pretty meal at all as they give you so much to eat and it just falls apart will be going there again soon! Can't recommend it enough!"

"Entering the stablishment was fine got told to sit anywhere.. after sitting for over 20 minutes in an empty restaurant, I personally had to approach the staff member to come and take my order… drinks came swiftly food not far afterwards.. the quality of food burger was just below average…. Ordered the bbq wings which are battered!. The battered wings where not fully cooked/ barely cooked then lathered (bbq sauce) and served waited awhile as we didn’t get any cutlery or napkins seeing as it was a burger… personally has to go and receive a hand fully of napkin’s from I’m assuming another member of staff…not once did anyone come and check until I acknowledged of other work suttlely that no body had one and ask how the meal went.. gave the server the food and she had left one culprit wings behind… the view to the kitchen was clear leaving the door open.. I seen sous chef and other chef brush off the stituation!. So I carried over the remaining wing still tact For them to examine… Borge the sous chef also supporting chef both of thier mouths dropped and walked away with their heads face sing down… I was greeted with either a manager/assistant or supervisor she didn’t announce who she was.. I got told the wings have been compt what more do you want…. I wish I expressed a perfectly cooked patty.. abhtger byn to fit the over cooked patty… oh yeah not to be served raw batter for the bqq wings!. "The staff are young, very pleasant and attentive. The food is very tasty but the portion size is very small so I feel £15.50 for the chicken dish I had was overpriced. Unfortunately the dessert portions are small as well. I can’t remember leaving a restaurant before still feeling hungry. This restaurant also does not accept cash which was not explained when we booked the table or when we ordered our meals. There is just one small sticker on the door as you enter."

"New Management. I discovered this cafe 3 years ago when a lovely brunette girl by the name Jerry and her mother Sonya had taken over management. For 3 years the cafe has worked like clockwork with amazingly cheap comfort food. The family have run this cafe with love tha reflected on the way they treated their customers. I have witnessed members of staff hugging other customers and I myself have neen given several freebies. The chef (mother) even baked her own spinach cake and allowed me to try it for free. Unfortunately, this family have left and have been replaced by a new group of people who should not be allowed to run a cafe. Even the cakes are what you would get for £10 in Costco....read more"

"Dined here for the first time yesterday with my friend. We both had the chicken burger fries. The burger was so nice. The lady that greeted us at the door then later asked if all was ok was lovely. I think she said she was from Poland. Loved the decor of the building. I live in Derby so I dont eat in Nottingham much. When I visit Nottingham again I'd definitely dine at Bill's again"

"I like good food, but I'm not particularly demanding either. This food is by far the worst I've ever tasted in Birmingham since the last 10 years or so. I ordered 2 kebabs (pita chicken) and a cheese burger. I was hungry yet I couldn't eat any of them. The burger meated tastes like polystyrene or something. Kebab meat was greasy beyond imagination. There are many kinds of quality in kebab meat, this one is clearly the bottom one. It was also full of these cheap chili and mayo sauce. The overall impression is that every single ingredient of this food is the cheapest existing on the market. Don't expect to enjoy this food, except if you are accustomed to extremely low standards."

"I recently had a quick meal at Rio's on Stratford Road and initially thought it was just another typical peri chicken restaurant. However, I have to say that the mango lemon sauce was the best I've ever had. It wasn't sticky and had a nice dry texture. The chicken was flavorful and still moist, indicating that they put thought and care into preparing it properly. The Piri Piri chicken was also delicious, with a crunchy exterior and a spicy kick. The restaurant itself was charming and well-decorated, making it a great spot for a quick and tasty meal or to bring the family. I highly recommend it."

"Amazing food and service. We were greeted at the door and quickly seated at a lovely table. The food arrived very fast and was delicious. Good quality ingredients and well prepared. The friendly and attentive staff made the whole experience great. They even changed our plates and cutlery when they saw we wanted to share pancakes after finishing the savoury meal. "We reserved a table for New Years Eve as it was always somewhere we wanted to try, and being a special occasion we were happy to choose Bills. We were seated by a friendly waitress who served us and was lovely. Drinks were nice although they had ran out of beer that was bigger than a small bottle, and they are costly for a bottle so small. The male waiter who took our drinks order just suggested I buy two bottles when I said I wanted a beer bigger than a small bottle. I noticed both steaks they had on the menu were quite fatty steaks, but I chose one anyway and chose to have it cooked rare as this is how I like it done. When it arrived, it was full of white fat. I thought maybe it was my own idiocy by choosing to have a certain steak rare, so I tried to eat it. But half way through the steak I had to pull a huge glob of uncooked fat out of my mouth and it completely put me off my meal. The waitress kindly took it off the receipt at the end which I was grateful for, but I still spent the rest of my night on New Years Eve being hungry as I hadn't eaten a good meal. Again maybe my own mistake, but no chef should send out uncooked fat."

"I've visited several Bill's before including this one and I've always been delighted. I didn't think a strawberry in my G&T (as advertised on the drinks menu) and a hot meal were beyond them but they had run out of strawberries (this was 6:30pm on...a Friday and there's a Tesco literally 4 doors down) and our cassoulet was stone cold. We had taken a friend there and had been crowing about how good it was, so it was very disappointing. However they didn't charge us for our main meals so that was, some consolation and I would go back, though warily."
