"Finally! The long neglected gents toilet has finally been refurbished – not completely, but enough that it is no longer the glaring reason not to recommend Bar Italia. I won’t comment any further on a problem that no longer exists other than to say that the refurb was probably 5 years overdue. Staff are great, food is great and a comprehensive choice of drinks. There used to be plenty of food promotions on weekday evenings weekends, sadly no longer but the food is good enough that I don’t mind paying full price. Pizzas in particular are prepared by the bar, so they tend to be fairly open to substituting ingredients extra spicy etc. They are now officially closed on Sundays which is a shame, but it was sufficiently quiet that it probably makes sense. Monday evenings can be a bit hit and miss"
