"We waited a while for our drinks, had to ask staff if we could at least get our drinks. When we did, my husband had to ask for a new wine glass as it was dirty, which the waiter did apologies and replace immediately. When we the wine was served, there was spillage on our table but we just over looked that. Food wait wasn’t too long considering it was super busy, so always prebook. We both got a dosa each, which was flavourless and bland, compared to dosa’s we have had at other places. Lacked flavour, presentation was okay. Service wasn’t great, no one asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu, just felt like we were rushed. I did ask on my reservation if we could have something special for my husband It was his birthday. But nothing was mentioned, again very disappointed. First and last visit"

"I had been here many years before and was delighted it was still open. However although we said we had booked the table on first arriving, it didn’t appear to register. Our coats were not taken and hung up because quite simply there isn’t this service . Instead seeing I was struggling on the tiny two seater table to place my coat anywhere we were ushered to a two seater right at the back by the serving hatches and I was told I could put my coat on top of the utensils behind. Only when we ordered quite a substantial meal and drinks did another waiter seat us at a larger table opposite where our meal could ‘fit’ and my coat could be placed next to me . The meal was however delicious. At the end I mentioned again that we had made a prior reservation but I still don’t think this registered."

"I ordered Chutneys and Poppadoms, lamb biriyani and peshwari naan bread. My partner chose a very hot curry (I can’t remember what). Chutneys were mango chutney, onion salad, lime pickle and raita yoghurt sauce served in little dishes (but plenty to eat). Poppadoms were fresh, large and crispy. The lamb biriyani was delicious. The biriyani is served as “dry” flavoured mixed rice and lamb (it wasn’t dry but isn’t saucey) then a simple mild saucey vegetable curry is served on the side to pour over if you wish. The lamb itself was good quality and cooked perfectly. The fat had rendered, it was incredibly succulent and tasty, the texture was melt in your mouth, there were absolutely no nasty fatty bits at all. The biryani was absolutely delicious and didn’t need the curry but I enjoyed both. The peshwari naan bread was delicious and sweet. I can eat a lot, had missed lunch and was making up for it at dinner time, however even for me this was a generous amount of food so I wrapped up the naan in a napkin and enjoyed the following day. The building is beautiful, it’s a grand room, small floor area but very tall ceilings. The dining room still manages to feel cosy and homely. It’s worth a trip down to the toilets just to see a bit more of the building. I also had a glass of red wine which had strong enough flavour to stand up to the meal. Very good value. I will be back! And bringing other people!"

"Just a quick review, we were walking about looking for somewhere to eat and come across this place. We try to find small businesses rather than big chains to support them. My partner and I had a good experience here and the fried rice was one of the best I've ever had. We had more than we could eat, the portions were good and i really enjoyed my meal. Service was with a smile and prompt, my only suggestion would be to give this little place a makeover if ever possible as quite tired. Also like to point out this Indian is by far the cheapest around where you could pay double just by walking a few streets. Overall all lovely experience enjoyed my food what more could you want?"

"30th August made a order online. I had already paid. I wondered what was going on as i havent heard anything from this company, then finally get a message rejecting the order! I rang up asked for a refund and why my order was rejected, the person I spoke too was nice and to ring the 3rd party as they took the money. I then get a phone call back I will get refund by end of day. I recieved nothing, next day I phoned up he was nice again told me that he will get in touch as soon as he knows something and apologised, My partner went to the shop without knowing I had already called. This man showed a WhatsApp message that havent been seen by curry hunter which I throught is very unprofessional. I phoned up again on monday he said can I get back to you. Tuesday this time it was the brother of the other person. He was very rude he made me cry down the phone, told me that his brother told me partner that I will get a refund in 2weeks which was a lie, he was shouting at me wouldnt letting me get out what I had to say he. I then get a text message from the person I was talking to before saying it's not for them to give me the money that curry hunter needs to sort it out not them. I then had a phone call from the manager from curry hunter manager very nice and understand they told me how things are meant to work and how mazza has dealt with me and this situation is very wrong. He told me I will receive this refund tomorrow if not to call. I got nothing I wouldnt rate this company at all never had a problem until now will not be going back EVER!!"

They have a wonderful range of cocktails non alcoholic and alcoholic with exciting range of drink menu . Great if you’re driving and not in to alcohol , the choice is unlimited unlike your usual typical indian with basic soft drinks . There is dance floor to do some hip hop or just slow , choice is yours! We have been to most of their restaurants and it’s “simply the best” in terms of entertainment food and drinks . The prices are very reasonable for what you get from them and service is wonderful with a smile King prawn butterflies appetisers and king purree , wonderful and nicely flavoured, served with designer chillies and salad . Main courses , Tiger Prawn biryani King prawn biryani duck biryani with side dishes of fresh bindi bhaji sag bhaji tarka dall wow ! Simply mind blowing food "

"Meal was late arriving, the chapatis looked like they were a week old and we just binned them (see photo), the poppadoms were smashed to pieces, there was a lake of ghee on the top of our lamb dish, the tarka dal was bland and...tasteless, the lettuce in the salad was brown and rotting. Very expensive and there’s much better value from restaurants in Tadworth and Banstead."

"Nepalese is a type of food I hadn't had before, but after having a Nepalese Lamb starter and two main dishes, at Rara, I'll be looking forward to having it again. We also had lamb as one of our mains, and saag paneer, which were both very good. The starter bordered on being too spicy, but stayed just within bounds for me. When the owner came to check on us, he may have judged our slow progress with the starter as a statement about the spiciness, and the second two dishes had no spice at all. So, when you go, I'd suggest specifying your pepper desires, which by all accounts they will be more than happy to satisfy. For whatever reason, when it came time for the our left-over boxes to be handed off, we were gifted a carton of fruit juice in our to-go bag?! Strange, but always welcome. Then when our transaction was completed, we were given four small bottles of Amarulo! Maybe they thought we were someone else, but I love Amarulo, so, again, very nice addition to a marvelous and relaxing meal sitting outside next to a quiet street scene in the middle of a neighborhood. Loved it."

"we arrived, at the time booked, in this small restaurant, which was very quiet only 2 other tables for 2. Our party of 5 ordered drinks and studied the menu. A party of 8, let's call them parliamentarians arrived a little later, had their drinks order taken and delivered, their food order taken and starters delivered before our order was taken. It was almost 2 hours before our main courses, one short, arrived by which time another disgruntled couple had paid for drinks and cancelled their long awaited food order. The naan breads were thin, crisp and flavourless, and the dishes just warm, and some quite tasteless. There was no draft beer, and only 5 bottles of Cobra, then some small bottles of Peroni to drink. At various times, gentle reminders were offered to staff, but no action was taken to remedy things. No apology was forthcoming, and there was no offer of compensation. Quite spoiled a 7th birthday dinner for one of our number we won't be back."

"Had a dinner with family. When we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday the dining room was a little quiet but by 8pm it had soon filled up. The food was phenomenal. It is slightly different to Indian food we are typically used to and in my opinion it is better. The breads were great. The curry’s were all super flavourful and trying a traditional dessert was lovely too. Alcohol is a little on the expensive side for the area. I can’t wait to return and try other things from the menu as there was so much on there that sounded so good."

"When we arrived at the restaurant we were informed that we did not have a booking I showed the confirmation from OpenTable he said that the booking was not confirmed and there were no tables this went on for 10 minutes in front of the other dinners totally embarrassing suddenly he said that he had found our booking and it was not until the 26th June I said impossible the booking was made for the 26th May as he could see on the OpenTable app the booking was for the 24th May after further conversation he said that he was taking great risk but would give us a table. I have used the Open table app for many years in London and New York and never had an issue ... unfortunately, Trisha has issues with when booking your table."

"What a pleasant surprise this beautiful restaurant turned out to be! When we arrived, I was unsure of what to expect, as the building next door looked quite run down. However, this lovely restaurant is just behind it and is absolutely stunning. We received a warm welcome, and everything looked so appealing. The buffet was amazing, with a fabulous selection and incredibly fresh food. I especially appreciated the unlimited naan and poppadoms included in the buffet, unlike other places where they charge extra for them. The gentleman who served us was incredibly kind and made us feel truly welcome. This little hidden gem is somewhere we will definitely visit again soon. Thank you!"

"I have been using this takeaway on a regular basis for over 3 years. In that time I have gradually worked my way through a lot of the menu. I have never had a meal which has been less than excellent. The Dansak in particular is fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful, always happy to suggest a new dish or advise on flavours. I often have a delivery and the food is always piping hot and fresh. It has never been later than the advised delivery time. In a word,brilliant. I highly recommend this business. Well done lads."
