"We went for dinner before a show in the theatre next to the restaurant. We booked for to give us plenty of time. It was a Wednesday and it quickly filled up. We had smoked mackerel and the squash as starters then shin of beef which was melt in the mouth amazing. We had mash on the side. The whipped crowdie with blackcurrant sorbet and granola was equally delicious with intense flavours, Scottish cheesecake indeed. The service was great, every dish described and drinks provided promptly. Water given by default and bread served after. We were also offered more bread when we finished it. We had coffee to finish and also offered top ups. A comfortable room and warm too. Great food good value."
