Pizza Hut

Silverlink Shopping Park, North Tyneside, United Kingdom

Meat • Pizza • Pasta • Chicken

"Bobbing about Silverlink we decided to make a pit stop in Pizza Hut. For me it's probably been about years since I last stepped foot in a Pizza Hut to dine in, for others in our party, it's been close to years. We...were about to find out why... We were quickly shown to a table by the window where we had to wipe down out own seats due to left over crumbs, and it was some quite some time before anyone came to take our order. It wasn't particularly busy when we arrived, but then there wasn't a full platoon of staff available either. Opted for the per head pizza buffet (which included your pizza, pasta, salad (if you're into that sort of thing), soft drink, and ice cream) we hit the buffet... The salad bar was pretty standard. Tortilla chips and salsa dip was available, a poor potato salad, and some bits of veg. The pizza station had more going on, but the choice of pizza wasn't great, and they skimped on the meat BIG TIME! However, it was adequate. The pasta was a bit on the limp side, a not very good tomato-y one, and a slightly better carbonara(ish) one. Unlimited drinks wise, you had a single machine for the entire place. It's a good job it wasn't busy or else there would have been queues issues. Ice cream wise, there was a single machine with soft serve, which was actually pretty nice, except the containers for the sprinkles and chocolate etc. seemed a bit on the filthy side. Now, staff wise, apart from the slowness, they were fine, absolutely fine, just some of them really didn't want to be there on a weekend. So that leads me onto the toilets... I can't close my eyes without flashbacks. They were absolutely disgusting. Some awful child (and it has got to be a child right decided to throw all the toilet tolls into the bowl of the sole toilet there. There was also wet rolls scattered in the cubicle, presumably urinated on. Rank. Still, that isn't the staffs fault, likely unruly kids, but still, I didn't need to see any of that. In all, it was ok food, just the pizza was clearly what they thought they could get away with.."
