"This is the cafe that I’d do anything to have in my local town. I’d read an article saying all the great things they are doing there, from the profits going to the homeless, to the fact that it’s way more than a cafe in terms of being a venue for all sorts of interesting activities. So it was by chance, lucky chance that a group that I’d met online arranged the first meet up there. We had a table reserved downstairs and the atmosphere was just great without being pretentiously hipster as a lot of focus is in the surrounding area. The emphasis is being a venue where you can meet, enjoy nice coffee and food without feeling rushed. The coffee and bistoff brownie I sampled were yummy and although some of us had a meal, others didn’t and they were happy for us to occupy the table for two hours without a huge spend, keeping us hydrated with tap water and generally being really nice. Next time I’ll sample a lunch...and there will be a next time!"
