"Came for a pre film mea at about 6.45 pm. Restaurant not that busy, so were seated straight away. First thing we noticed is how dirty the floor was (we were sticking to it as we walked), secondly our server pointed to a code on the (dirty) table and saying you know how to order (we didn 't actually) before walking off. As there seemed to be a problem with the app (girl at the counter having a very long argument with staff whilst pointing at her phone), we went and ordered from the main desk. The counter at the main desk is absolutely filthy greasy and sticky and I hope no one was brave enough to eat any of the stale cakes under the grubby glass covers. Girl with phone app problem has now been going for about 10 mins so another member of staff comes to take our order whilst taking the order, a manager informs us that there will be a wait of at least half a hour for the food at least they told us, rather than us just waiting. Very limited choice of beer or wine at vastly inflated prices. Husband went to the toilet and said it was disgustingly dirty. The whole restaurant is so old and tired but there is just no excuse for how dirty it is really didn 't want to eat anything here because of the lack of hygiene. We had ordered a family platter which arrived at least 10 mins apart with most of the sides missing. When the corn did arrive it was burnt to a crisp sent it back and received raw corn instead. I hate to be a complainer, but we are living in times where going out to eat should be a treat, not an excuse to get ripped off to the tune of £100 for some factory chicken, oven chips and microwave rice served up in dirty, scruffy surroundings. The staff here are nice enough but Nandos are not getting any more of my money AVOID."

"The food was excellent, as were the cocktails. Our waitress, who brought out our food and drinks, was beautiful, friendly, and a true asset to the venue. However, the experience started off on a sour note when the hostess who seated us bluntly pointed out that it was 6:05 PM and that the early bird and 2-for-1 cocktail deals ended at 6:30 PM. I'm not sure what the intention was behind that comment, but it felt quite rude. Despite this rocky beginning, the food and drinks were truly outstanding."

"I made a reservation online 6 weeks in advance for an early dinner, but when we arrived, they had no record of it. After showing them the confirmation message, they were able to seat us as the dining room was empty. We had an early dinner and some menu items were already sold out. I ordered the beef roast dinner, which was good overall, but the roast potatoes seemed reheated and the parsnips were overcooked. My husband had the steak and mushroom pie which he found to be dry with hard pastry. The price of £48.00 for a pint of beer and a glass of wine felt a bit high for the quality of the food. We don't plan on returning due to our experience with the cooking."

"My man and I visited this restaurant for our anniversary and the dining experience was exceptional. We left with an appetite to return in the future. We ordered cheesy nachos, the Juliana sizzle special, the unnamed steak, and the unnamed burger. Every dish was delicious and perfectly cooked, with generous portions. The table sauce was delicious and I wish I could buy some to take home. The claw mojito was amazing and we both enjoyed the dessert special. Overall, it was a fantastic evening with friendly staff and a clean restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place."

"visited jun2021 after a 10 miles walk. looked outside in the evening sun, gently sung by the sounds of stansted airport to convince the world that it was busy. this is a greene king pub, so that the quality is controlled, they know what they are. and safe, we got a friendly reception, good service, well maintained beer and good, middle-of-the-road-pub-rub. the pub is excavated for families. in these slightly fake lockdown times the pub has a large marquee for protected outdoor kitchen, filled with dozens of standard benches. there are also tables and chairs on a veranda for those of a middle class convince. menu is comprehensive. the prices are typical of greene king in the eastern englands. the pub was quite quiet on this locked Saturday evening, with perhaps 17 adult and 3 children, visible during our meal from our garden seat. it is in a quiet village."

"I appreciate the restaurant offering vegan options, which is great. However, I found it a bit frustrating to order because it was easy to confuse the vegan and non-vegan options. Personally, I don't enjoy having to repeatedly specify that I want the vegan waffle, vegan ice cream, etc. I also couldn't find a separate vegan menu as advertised. Despite these issues, the food was deliciously unhealthy, just what I wanted, although it did give me a sugar headache right away."

"There is ample indoor and outdoor seating available at this restaurant situated at Chatham dockside, offering a delightful view of the docks. I opted for a milkshake made with soya milk and chocolate sorbet, which was delicious and not too sugary. I would have liked it to be slightly thicker and made with vegan ice cream. "I have recommended this place for what feels like a million times to people as I have had many fantastic meals here However... On Wednesday it was unfortunately the last time we go. It had nothing to do with the wait, as the burgers are cooked from fresh and it's always worth the wait. The problem was the fact we got completely ripped off with the toppings. I paid for just one single thin slice of chorizo, it was rather embarrassing really. Same again with the bacon, we had one tiny piece of bacon each and then the halloumi was also a bit of joke too, it was shocking. Back in previous visits, the burgers were loaded with toppings but honestly, it was pathetic It's a shame because I had only last week organised the team in work to all go out for a meal there because i told them it's the best burger around Now I have to find somewhere else because I don't want them wasting money on what seemed like a child's portion of a burger."

"I have visited Herschel Weapons 4-5 times, and I can confidently say that it is the friendliest place I have ever been to. This quirky pub is equally welcoming to locals and visitors, making it a popular spot for those away from home. I enjoy the decor of the walls adorned with pictures of the past and present patrons of the pub. A visit to the restroom is a treat with its old paper cuts and comics. However, the highlight of the pub is undoubtedly the bartender. Their service is fantastic and they serve the best pint of Guinness I have ever had. Kudos to Tom and his team. We will definitely be returning soon."

"I was in Reading to view an office building. It was a warm day so i popped in to the bearby Creams in Reading on my way to the car park. Ive visited many Creams in towns all over the South East and this one has the same expensive design and big store size. Sadly this one also had the rudest most surly inefficient staff ive ever come across. As an employer myself of some 40 plus staff I wonder how this business will survive with such staff. I wemt to order as per attached receipt) cookie dough...immediately the man behind the counter was ignoring me talking with his friend behind me....than arrogantly with no hello no eye contact he asked me for my order....I told him in clear concise terms triple treat cookie dough for table 8 eating in again no eye vontact it didnt seem to be registering and i was starting yo feel unease. I repeated and he took the money and i went to sit at table 8. 15 minutes went by and a lady shouted out from far away are you takeaway i said no eating in . Another 10 monutes later she stomped over and asked me again takeway i said ive already told you eating in. She asked me what i ordered i told her and this ignorant sour faced lady informed me id asked for a takeaway. In the background i could see behind her the same surly tall slim young man whod tajen my order so nonchalantly....i felt i was veing intimidated so i said to the lady i didnt order a takeaway youve made a mistaje and i dont appreciate your rude bolshy way. I left not wanting a scene In my 25 minute wait for nothing i noted there are more staff than customers . One of them had his bare arm in a machine to swirl water. I left without a refund as i wasnt offered one. Horrible experience horrid staff i wont be visiting creams in reading ever again."
