"The overall experience was at best mixed and ultimately very disappointing. We chose the pescatarian tasting menu with white flight. The food was imaginative and tasty, and some courses were excellent. The wine selection was first rate. The service was friendly and helpful. However, the experience was spoilt by continual loud music being broadcast throughout. The restaurant is located next to and shares an extended space with the bar, and it doesn't seem to work. We asked twice for the music volume to be turned down, and while it was reduced a little, it remained obtrusive. We overheard diners at the next table also being unhappy with the noise. What made it worse was that the music was a poor quality cross between rhythmic sub-disco and lounge music. Wholly inappropriate for a Michelin starred restaurant. If we had known what it would be like, we would not have gone there, and we will not be returning."
