"Beautiful interiors, great food menu. Unfortunately in our visit, we didn’t experience a great service level. There were only 3/4 other tables so it was very quiet. The staff didn’t seem very motivated or engaged in providing a good level of service very low energy. One dish was forgotten so one of our group had to wait while we ate our food two sides were also not made and we had to ask for them. I would visit again and hope for a better experience because the place itself is lovely and the food was great. It was really lacking in welcoming and friendly service. On another note, I would like to point out how dangerous it is to serve hot food and drinks when there is a baby in a highchair. On all occasions when food and drink was brought to the table the staff member leant over our baby with hot items we had to move the highchair out of the way. Instead, staff should be trained to give to the adults directly and avoid going over the head of a baby sitting at the end of the table. If an accident should occur due to carelessness like this it would be awful. It’s much easier and safer to give food and drink to the person directly at their seat. Please consider this!"

"Great bottomless brunch myself and 3 friends came about 12:30 and had reserved online but we were greeted and seated quickly and the food started coming out and the alcohol was flowing! Another point to note if you don’t drink like myself they offer the menu of mock tails in lieu of the alcoholic beverages! Was a great little venue tucked down Inverness street."

"Came here after the London Marathon and we made the right choice. I visited this place in Feb, to celebrate Valentines and it was super good. Now it was even better, did not feel rushed but rather like a neighborhood restaurant where everyone is very friendly and kind but also with a very good knowledge about wines and the food. We will come here more often as I was too disappointed in other places"

"We had a table for eight for Sunday lunch and decided to go with the set menu, which offered great value at £20 for three courses. There were four options for each course: starters, mains, and desserts. We started with calamari, spicy meatballs, and halloumi. For our main course, everyone chose the sirloin of beef, which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, vegetables, and gravy. For dessert, we enjoyed a variety of options including chocolate brownie, Baileys crème brûlée, tiramisu, and panna cotta. The portion sizes were generous, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The restaurant was quite quiet, with only two other tables occupied, but it still had a pleasant atmosphere. The service was outstanding, with very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place!"

"We really enjoy this restaurant, however, I was disappointed with my choice of food (vegetable stew and greens) as it was too salty for my taste and I couldn't eat the greens. I suggest allowing customers to adjust the salt content to their liking. I mentioned this issue to our very friendly Australian waitress when returning the item. Overall, the food was good apart from this issue."

"We had afternoon tea for 4 people which consisted of 8 finer sandwiches, some cakes and 4 scones. For £76 I expected more. Not sure if we only received 1 set by mistake or if its just a small portion for the price! On top of that, we had to keep going to the bar for drinks as service was poor. I was so disappointed especially as we have booked our wedding here too! The live music was great though and when we had the attention of the staff, they were very helpful."

"We had the pork belly for starter and wow it melted in your mouth. It was coated in a beautiful sweet sauce and the crackling the lovely and crispy also the apple slaw that came with it was the perfect balance. For main we had the 10z black Angus on the steak stone and I’ve never tasted anything like it it was delicious, as soon as the steak hit my tongue it melted away. It was seasoned beautifully and wasn’t chewy at all every bite was so easy. It was so soft and buttery that you could’ve cut it with a spoon. I highly recommend! We also had some sides, chips, cauliflower cheese, onion rings amd creamed chorizo cabbage and leek, and all of these were delicious the creamed chorizo cabbage and leek was amazing and highly recommend along with the onion rings they was crispy and sweet! Finally we had dessert, my partner had the chocolate mousse garden pot and he thoroughly enjoyed it and I had the stick toffee pudding that I asked to have with custard and even though it wasn’t on the menu the waiter went out of his way to get it for me for my dessert, also it was our birthdays and the waiter and waiters came out with our dessert with candles in them and light up tambourines singing happy birthday to us! Highly recommend this restaurant environment was perfect food was beyond compare! The staff were so lovely and paid so much attention and care for their guests."

"I'm a fan of nandos. I respect nandos. I'll tell you why. let's be honest, no chain can really claim highest priority in cooking from any particular dish. so I mean, it's hard to find dishes that a chain restaurant always cooks better than an independent one. nandos has his recipe in the sense that no one else peri peri huhn as well as they do. whenever I go to nandos, his half-whn for me, medium-wrough (extremely seasoned is recommended only to superheroes, side the fries and depending on my mood mais on the cob or coleslaw. I really recommend the chicken comb. reason is that the restaurant does the best. Forget the slightly boring chickenburger. The rest comes beyond eating. Here nando has something to do. first, the drinks she offered are scarce and the self-service system is quite annoying. second, nandos has a bad habit to leave its clean tables, teller, toilets, etc. dirty! I have not yet found the solution to keep its restaurants really clean (what is right? . finally, nandos sometimes makes it easy to feel like her in a chicken factory. I don't know why this is exactly how to describe it a hard feeling. my general belief is that by paying the cash system and taking normal waiter, nado 's could significantly improve the dining room experience. but don't let these last points go in theirs, especially if you've never been. one must go to nando once in his life. ps: nandos comes from South Africa and is one of the most famous brands of the country! as I said: I respect nando’s."

"My evening at the Royal Oak Was pleasant but Service was very slow. Waiting quite a while to be served and when served orders were not out through properly which meant we was waiting for food which we thought had been ordered but it hadn’t. With no app to order off, it was quite hard to get the attention of the staff when the music was quite loud and we was tucked away in the corner so not in eye vision. On the other hand All the staff was lovely and the booking process was easy. Very accommodating."

"The food quality was disappointing. While the fish and chips were decent (we had two servings), the torte was quite poor. The puff pastry resembled a burger bun, and the filling was nearly inedible. The entrecôte steak was also a letdown—thin and gristly. In terms of price and quality, I found it lacking, especially for London standards. For example, three small tempura prawns cost £9.50, and a simple Spanish wine was priced at £10 per glass. Given the overall experience, I wouldn't recommend this place for a meal, but it could be alright for a quick drink."

"Return visit again for another excellent dinner at the Clissold. Cannot fault it. We were greeted warmly greeted like old friends to celebrate my wifes birthday party of 12. We ordered the sharing meze which was tasty and clearly freshly prepared. The items like dips, calamari, haloumi, salads etc arrived first followed by delicious tender kebabs, cutlets and moussaka. Pudding was a homemade apple pie with caramelised icing sugar and vanilla ice cream which was a real treat. Wines including famous Greek red, white and Mastiha afterwards. Everything tasted really fresh. The restaurant is comfortable, we arrived at 6pm and left at 12, the staff charming, helpful and friendly and checking all the time if we have enough and would we like more of anything. I can happily say it is great venue and you will be looked after really well."

"We have eaten at the Red Barn many many times but since COVID they have changed their menu and booking system. In my opinion it is for the better. The service was excellent and we had the best meal we’ve ever had there. A smaller menu but the quality of the food was fabulous. Looking forward to returning there when we are next in Woolacombe"

"I can't express how impressed I was during my first visit to the restaurant tonight. The atmosphere was incredible as soon as we arrived, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We ordered various dishes, and I couldn't get enough of the 12oz fillet steak paired with a half lobster – it was absolutely superb. We also enjoyed a delicious calamari starter, followed by the amazing fillet, and we topped it all off with sticky toffee pudding and cream, which made the evening perfect. My partner and I were both blown away by everything we tried, and our choices were spot on. We're already looking forward to our next visit in a few months, and we left completely speechless by our experience."

"Had such a lovely evening here! We booked as a large group of 10 for a birthday and the staff were so accommodating as we had to previously cancel and had a few last minute cancellations in our party too on the day. Such a good atmosphere, so upbeat and really lively. Music playing loudly all night we even danced and sang along with other tables. Would definitely recommend for a fun night!"
