"A nearly perfect night out at Lyle’s. Food, service and atmosphere were all absolutely superb, especially going out of their way to wish one of our party a happy birthday with some beautiful little cakes. The only thing that let it down was being rushed off the table towards the end. We knew the booking was for 2 and a half hours but at one point, the waiter apologised for the delay with one of the courses meaning we were running a little behind through no fault of our own. This meant the courses and wines during the last half hour were very rushed. It was a shame as it really was superb up until that point. All that said, I would probably still go again, just maybe go for the later sitting."
