"Food is absolutely delicious and the staff are helpful and smiling. The people next to us were very loud though and were up and down going outside to smoke which was distracting and let in cold air which was not great for us as we were right next to the door. A thought for the owners only as we will go back for the food and service often anyway."

"Had the whole place to ourselves sunday afternoon (kay brian , the venue looked very similar to the last time i went there about 15 yrs ago lol, BUT, what a great time we had, the food was fautless, £20 for 2 courses, very good value, staff were great, very happy to help. Dj was very good and took time to learn most peoples name (how? . The belly dancer was very good made everyone very comfortable, pretty too !! All in all, our whole party of 37+ enjoed our sunday afternoon evening. Bob"

"My second visit to Charcoal House within a few weeks. Went there a few weeks ago with a mate, few beers, King Platter, great night had. Bring your own beers as they don't have a license. They do great juices and mocktails. Tonight I visited with the family, kids loved it. Again, the food was great, lovely tender juicy meats, nice fries, fresh salad. Really pleasant staff. This place is a good asset to the town and I hope the business continues to grow."

"I visited the restaurant for dinner, and the atmosphere was quite nice. The main course was very good, although it took a while to arrive, considering we were the only customers at the time. However, the most disappointing part was the starter. I ordered scallops, as I had always wanted to try them. While the portion was somewhat lacking for the price, it wasn't terrible. The real issue was that they tasted spoiled; they had a strong fishy odor, which I initially thought was normal, so I ate them anyway. Later that night, I experienced terrible stomach pain and learned that if scallops smell even slightly off, they shouldn't be served at all. Overall, aside from the disappointing starter—an important part of the meal—my experience was not bad."

"omg! eating here is absolutely divine! there are not enough stars to check this place. this is the next a to culinary orgasms they will receive. the hummus was poetic, babaganush and falafel excellent and the salat! I usually do not touch an salad at the places in the near east, but this is something else, the dressing, the combination of sweetness, what a taste! the entire Mezzo plate was absolutely delicious! everything tastes super fresh. I wanted to be another forgetful Falafel place, but in the last two years I was the best to eat in Britain. close east eating is my favorite kitchen and I have tried throughout the world, I am picky and rarely ecstatic about certain dishes, but I loved every bit of this meal. I will come back to bristol to have it again! timements should write about this little jewel, people should flock because this place is absolutely amazing! bravo!"

The portions were delicious and generous, we couldn't even finish our appetizers as we wanted to save room for the main course.
