"Had the whole place to ourselves sunday afternoon (kay brian , the venue looked very similar to the last time i went there about 15 yrs ago lol, BUT, what a great time we had, the food was fautless, £20 for 2 courses, very good value, staff were great, very happy to help. Dj was very good and took time to learn most peoples name (how? . The belly dancer was very good made everyone very comfortable, pretty too !! All in all, our whole party of 37+ enjoed our sunday afternoon evening. Bob"

"My second visit to Charcoal House within a few weeks. Went there a few weeks ago with a mate, few beers, King Platter, great night had. Bring your own beers as they don't have a license. They do great juices and mocktails. Tonight I visited with the family, kids loved it. Again, the food was great, lovely tender juicy meats, nice fries, fresh salad. Really pleasant staff. This place is a good asset to the town and I hope the business continues to grow."

"I visited the restaurant for dinner, and the atmosphere was quite nice. The main course was very good, although it took a while to arrive, considering we were the only customers at the time. However, the most disappointing part was the starter. I ordered scallops, as I had always wanted to try them. While the portion was somewhat lacking for the price, it wasn't terrible. The real issue was that they tasted spoiled; they had a strong fishy odor, which I initially thought was normal, so I ate them anyway. Later that night, I experienced terrible stomach pain and learned that if scallops smell even slightly off, they shouldn't be served at all. Overall, aside from the disappointing starter—an important part of the meal—my experience was not bad."

"OMG!The food here is absolutely divine! There are not enough stars to review this place. This is the closest a to Middle Eastern/culinary orgasm you will get. The hummus was poetic, babaganush and falafel outstanding and the salad!! Usually I don’t touch salads in Middle Eastern places, but this is something different, the dressing, the combination of vegetable, what a taste! The entire mezzo platter was absolutely delicious! Everything tastes super fresh. I though this was going to be another forgettable falafel place, but ended in being the best meal I had in the UK in the last 2 years. Middle Eastern food is my favourite cuisine and I have tried in all over the world, I’m picky and rarely ecstatic about specific dish, but I loved every bite of this meal. I will be back to Bristol just to have it again! Newspapers should write about this little gem, people should be flocking because this place is absolutely amazing!!! Bravo!"

"Today, my partner and I had lunch together at this restaurant. We started with the Greek salad and seafood cocktail. For our main course, we ordered the mixed souvlaki. The portions were delicious and generous, we couldn't even finish our appetizers as we wanted to save room for the main course. The service was excellent and we look forward to dining at this restaurant again soon."
