"Brilliant. Was up in Aberdeen, from a bit down to coast, for a hospital visit. Timed it so we could get a takeaway in the 'toon ' before heading back home with it. Did a Google search for decent curry houses in the area and came up with this place. So, first time there for us. Called from the hospital grounds at just after 4pm and was told the food would be ready in about half an hour. We headed up there, arriving a wee bit early but our order was ready. Got it back home and boy it was fantastic. Lamb Seekh Kebab and vegetarian platter (for the wife) and both were great. I then had the Prawn Bombay Flame and Keema Rice and she had Prawn Dhansak with Pilau Rice. Add a Tarka Dhall on the side and Keema and Cheese Naans, popadoms and dips etc and things were complete. The quality of the food was just fantastic and the prawns were some of the best I 've ever had in a curry. Helpings were abundant as well. I cannot fault this place. Friendly staff too and clean and tidy wee shop. This may have been our first takeaway from here but rest assured it will not be our last. Brilliant!!!! Cheers!!!"

"This was our first visit to this restaurant which is about 5 minutes walk from Chatham Station. There is a varied menu and plenty of vegetarian, fish and meat options. We had difficulty in making our choices, but the waitress made recommendations. The food was delicious and the portions were generous and it was excellent value. Staff were very friendly and the service was very good."

"We had not visited the Sitar for quite some time, that due only to our eating agenda not coinciding with their opening hours. Our visit last week gave us absolutely no room for complaint. The food was very good and the service complimented it. The presence of three members of staff who we knew from the days we used the Sitar on a regular basis, made the visit even more enjoyable. "We recently moved to the area from Wiltshire. We can't recommend this restaurant/take away highly enough! The food is amazing, never had sea food cooked so freshly and it has never been a problem asking for different dishes being cooked as hot as we like them! "We started using Bonoful when our closet Indian takeaway went downhill and we would not go anywhere else. The delivery is a real bonus for us as many don't deliver out to our village. The service and food are both fabulous and the discount offered for collection is also great when we have time to collect. "Just had delivery through deliveroo. Just over £50 spent on a range of starters, sides and a main. Very quick delivery …. That’s about the only good thing to mention. Chicken Tikka main stuffed into the bag on its side resulting in half of the main being spilt over everything, this meant our vegetarian options being contaminated in the Tikka sauce. Poppadoms soggy and broken, again squashed into the bag. Mango chutney nice. Garlic mushrooms were still hot however everything else luke warm to say the least. Incredibly disappointing. Will not be using again."

"This restaurant is truly underrated. The staff is outstanding and very friendly. The constant flow of young adults coming in and out hints at the delicious food being served. Despite the lack of customers dining in, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal each time I visited and always ended up with a large takeout container to bring home. Some of the curry dishes even taste better the next morning for breakfast. It's a bring your own (alcohol) and bring your own (cash) establishment, as they do not have a card machine. While there may be some questionable practices with their books, the food coming out of the kitchen is nothing short of delicious."

"They were nice to accommodate our large group. The food was ok I've definitely had better on Brick Lane but the service was poor. Took forever to order and stingy with everything (water, rice). We sat for most of the meal with nothing to drink. Not an awful experience, but there are many good options and I'll seek a different one next time."

"Unfortunately our delivery took almost 2 hours to arrive last night despite being ordered at 18.50. They should have been honest and said they could not full fill the order as they were busy. The offer of a free popadom does not suffice. Very disappointing as it disrupted our evening. It’s great you’re busy however please look after your customers. I had paid in advance over the phone so not a lot I could do."
