Our dining experience was enjoyable overall. The food was nice and served hot, and both the waitress and waiter were pleasant and engaging. The drinks arrived promptly, and we didn’t have to wait long for our courses, which was a plus.
However, we did encounter a few issues. The restaurant felt a bit under-staffed, and some of the tables were not cleared. We were initially given the wrong menu and had to inquire for about ten minutes to confirm it was correct. Our server didn’t check if we had a menu, which led to us receiving the festive menu instead. Luckily, another employee stepped in to help her.
Additionally, the menu didn’t include everything that was available, and we only found out when we placed our orders (I wanted the chicken burger). Our table was quite sticky, so I had to use a napkin to protect my dress from sticking to it. The beer ran out quickly, and we were seated in a dimly lit area, making it difficult to read the menu and see our food. A brighter candle would have improved the situation, especially since our candle blew out.
Lastly, my water glass had a hint of Malibu in it, so I had to ask for a replacement. Despite these drawbacks, we would consider returning as hotel guests since the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worthwhile."
