"Sorry boss man you know we love you but, after 20+ yrs coming to you nope. The food lately hasn’t been great.Hence why we haven’t ordered much.Curry is watery and not as hot as we asked for (vindaloo) Only 2 small (triangles)vegetable samosas for something like £3 I’m sure it sure to be 3-4.The curry sauce was only half full the other half was in the bag.We decided to come to to give you the benefit of the doubt but we’re really disappointed.Time to look for a different Indian takeaway"

"Good food, authentic taste, fantastic place to eat out with family and friends. I had a great experience however what did bother me though was the manager at woodlands on Sunday 17th. He was so rude to the girl serving us and to this lady who was walking aided by her assistant and a stick. She was trying to go to the restroom and cause woodlands Marylebone doesn't have a wheelchair access toilet she had to climb a few stairs! With much difficulty due to her condition she was trying to do this and her assistant and grandchild were helping. This manager in a slightly loud stern tone asked them to close the toilet door, asked her assistant grandchild to leave the area. I was appalled at...read more"

"Went into the shop on a Tuesday evening ordered 2 milkshakes and 2 slices of cake. Waited 20 minutes to be given it and then to get home and find the lids of the milkshakes upside down in the top ? I rang them to find out why the lids were upside down inside the milkshake and the person I spoke to said that’s how they seal properly in transport? The cake had been shoved into the box and half of it was on top of the box lid. Worst place in banbury Then said that was it and hung up."

"I visited Milan Indian Cuisine with friends on Friday evening (14 July 2023), as we were staying nearby in the City, for the T20 Cricket Finals Day at Edgbaston. It was new to me, but somewhere my friends had visited before and had praise for and now I can see why! I have a nut allergy, and although my options on Indian menu’s are limited, I have to be extremely careful. I made the staff aware of this as we took to our table, and from the start they were hugely accommodating, helping me with what was nut free, they stayed with me until I had made my order. Really was exceptional! I had a starter of Grilled Salmon, which was very nice, and then a main of Lamb Rogan Josh, with Pilau Rice and a garlic naan. A dish I usually go for to be safe, it was one of the best I’ve had! Full of meat and flavour! A huge thanks, particularly to Nico, who’s service was fantastic! We shall be visiting next year for the Cricket finals!"

"Back in my 'day ' (the late 80 's, 90 's and early 2k), Blackwood Rd had the usual town/village shops. Walks to school including a stop at Taylors News for sweets, chippy tea, hair cut, pharmaceutical support... Roll on 30 years later, and something that could have come a lot lot sooner (when I was walking the streets, on my way home after a night out at the local public houses when turning '18 ' in the late 90 's) there is a restaurant. An indian restaurant. Visiting parents, as now live in Lincolnshire, and they took me here... Service; fantastic, very personal, great conversation. Location; 'hidden ' away, and parking could be an issue if early doors. Drinks; unlicensed, so BYOB. Wine for me. Food; when 'testing ' an Indian restaurant I will always go with the chefs/restaurants 'own ' Jalfrazi. If its good, I know the rest of the menu will be good. Lots of experience here . No complaints from parents, nor myself. Price; absolutely spot on for portion size. Lamb Tikka Sylheti Jalfrazi. Not over powered with chilli, just a nice warmth on the back of the tongue, perfection. As well as the starters, all was beautiful. Highly recommended, and parents say take out/delivery is spot on too. Those that know me, you know I like my curry. If i say its good, its very good. "Having read some of the positive recent reviews I booked a table at this little restaurant for a pre concert dinner. Within a short walk of the Albert Hall it was ideally located. The food was very tasty and arrived very quickly and the service good. I would definitely return should I be in the area."

"We recently visited Gifto's on a trip to Southall. We had Nihari, Lamb Biryani and Mix Grill for take away. The Nihari was ok. Lamb Biryani was very good and Mix grill was also good. The restaurant was very nice and clean and the service was very good too. Overall a satisfactory visit for dinner."

"Ate there with my family the other night and loved it; we will go back. Wonderful family-run spot. Service was warm, friendly, and professional, the best we've had at any Indian/South Asian restaurant in London. The ambience is a bit more elegant than a typical neighborhood curry house in the same price range. The food is excellent and original. The Tawa family recipe we had was delicious, as was the Butter Murg chicken. The pilau rice is excellent, and the Naan pillowy and bubbly. The food is beautifully presented. We were disappointed that they didn't have the draught beer, but perhaps that was because we arrived early in the week. Its even better than the busier Indian restaurant two doors down (which is also good, though my family found the dishes there a tad too much on the sweet side). Can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes."

"I have only ever tried the delivery service, which was punctual and the food arrived hot. The dining experience is average, but it's worth ordering if you just want to unwind and eat. The children always enjoy the pizza without any complaints."

"We ordered the momos, lamb chops and nepali crispy chicken. The chicken was juicy and full of flavour. The lamb chops were a disappointment, it didn’t have the usual charred flavour and it was a bit grainy rather than tender texture. The momos is a must order just because it’s an authentic starter to order. For the mains we ordered lamb kahari, fish balti and kantipur methi. My favourite was the lamb kahari, full of flavour and the lamb was tender. My least favourite is the kantipir methi, it’s quite pricey for what you get, not much meat in it and the flavour was lacking. I did also enjoy the fish balti as the fish pieces were still in tact, whereas some places make it like all mushy and just not as great. Generous portions of rice too, the garlic naan was fluffy and fresh."

"To be honest, I should have known this was a scatty place being the only place open until 4am on a Monday... we ordered at 2am and after hours of waiting, and my mobile being blocked by the 'restaurant '... I decided to go to bed, hangry as ever. I was then woken up at 5am!!! By the delivery driver... The food was cold and naaaasty... chicken not too bad though. Probably be merch after a night in the cool rooms when ur taste buds r numb and ur too drunk to care... just don 't order for delivery early hours weekday cus ur gonna get nasty cold left overs. AND DONT BLOCK CUSTOMERS PHONE NUMBERS"

"The restaurant was terrible from start to finish. The food was flavourless, presentation poor and was way too over priced. Parts of my Halibut were burnt and other parts undercooked. The naan was undercooked also. Was expecting to take my partner to a great Indian and ended up with a poor meal and we were both still hungry after. There’s nothing traditional about any of the dishes we ate. Felt cheated. Didn’t even bother looking at dessert"

"The portions were very small. The meat was cut in half, possibly because there was a 50% off offer when spending £50, but it wasn't worth the money. There was lots of sauce and onions to fill the containers. The chicken in the korma dish was very tough and not edible. The shashlik container was half empty, with only 4 pieces of chicken instead of the usual 8 or 9. Usually the food and portions are good, but it may be time for a change as there are plenty of Indian restaurants in Brentwood. It's a shame as we have been loyal customers of Balti House in Brentwood for a long time."

"I recently visited this restaurant for the first time with some friends, and we received a very warm welcome. The service was excellent from start to finish. The food was exceptionally tasty and served promptly, and it was piping hot. The desserts were equally delicious, and we ended our meal with some coffee. I am looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!"
