"Rather disappointing. I've been going to this restaurant for over 30 years and never had it so bad. We could not get the salad when we wanted. We had to ask a number of times if we could have some. I had the fish and chips. The fish was thin and greasy. Nothing like it used to be. The chips were minimal in one of those tiny baskets. It was surprising to hear that we had to pay more to get a normal portion. The service was good but only when we got it. The poor woman was totally rushed off her feet. Harvester used to be a good place but it has just gone downhill. It was quality for a good price. Not now."

"The staff were very welcoming and found a table that was ideal for our young grandson. A high chair was offered in case we needed it. To minimise waiting time which may have unsettled our grandson the staff offered to get food immediately from the salad bar. The food was very nice and we were asked if everything was satisfactory. Well done to the team at Poachers Cottage."
