"i would really advise strongly against using the services of this restaurant .ive used them three times and never again. im an experienced waiter of many years standing and have never and would never give such bad service to a customer or i wouldnt have a job.my first time ordering a received a call after some time asking to come down to a car to pick up my food.i informed the driver to ring my bell(i live in a house)and bring my food to me.he then buzzed my bell and came up the stairs huffing and puffing as if i was putting him out.he obviously doesn't understand what delivery means.he was so miserable i was really worried that my food could have been maliciously interfered with.i went through the same experience twice more although i always tipped him.i went to order again and was told we dont deliver to you anymore .use uber eats and the phone was dropped twice on me.this is so shocking im enraged and words fail me that this kind of attitude happens in the uk.if your driver doesent want to deliver get on that does want to.these points have already been covered in many other reviews,very negative experience and just generally very unpleasant.thank god there many other restaurants in the area ,so i dont have to give support to such unprofessional outfits"

"I 'm not normally one for complaining but on this occasion I feel like I have to. I placed an order at the weekend through Just Eat (my 1st time using this method) and was informed that the estimated delivery time was 8pm, okay a 90 min wait which I could just about live with. As it turned out we waited 2 hours which I find totally unacceptable, the restaurant is a mile and a half away from where I live. When the meal arrived it was missing the onion Bhajis that we ordered. Rang the restaurant and was told we could knock it off our next meal, err I don 't think so. I stated we wanted them with our meal but apparently they were very busy and would deliver them as soon as possible, I 'm still waiting 2 days later. Thinking things couldn 't get any worse we plated our meals, well things did. The garlic supreme I ordered was supposed to have extensive use of garlic .....hmm, I think the chef, and I use the word chef loosely, forgot to add the garlic and the meal was not a good experience. My wife had a rogan josh, well a child 's sized portion anyway as the carton was only two thirds full at best. We also ordered a garlic nan and a peshwari nan, both which were so bland we thought they were just plain nan 's. A nightmare experience which spoilt our night, we won 't ever use the Nobin again, there are far superior restaurants in the area with better customer service. If I could have given no stars I would have done so."

"I had the most amazing chicken masala here recently. I didn't even know this place existed. I had a business meeting in the restaurant and I am very impressed with the food. definitiw one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. they were looking forward to going back there, they also had a nice pinot grigio I forgot to get the name. the person with whom I had pasta and was also very impressed by their meal. as they can see from the photos, it was also beautifully presented."

"We chose this restaurant as a place to meet with friends last night. Although the food was good, we felt a little rushed. We still had several poppadoms left, when the waiter cane and asked if we'd finished with them. As we were paying for them, we felt we should be allowed to finish them at least? The restaurant wasn't overly busy, yet they started to remove plates whilst some members of our group were still eating. But the biggest disappointment I felt, was a service charge added to our bill!! We spent approx £266 on food and drink and each of us would have happily added a tip, but when we saw the service charge of nearly £27, we immediately decided no. Sadly, for that reason alone, we won't be returning to this restaurant. Service charges like that are rude, presumptuous and a sure fire way of putting people off. Most people are happy to tip. It would be far nicer if a place waited for this, rather than automatically adding their own."

"We have used the Balti Express for good Indian take-away food for a long time and often, but during September 2019 we had a terrible meal. We ordered a delivery that took just short of two hours to arrive, and then the food was very bland, flavourless and under spiced. It was horrible. The food has always been good before, but this time it was shockingly bad. After many years of this being our take-away, I think it's time for a change. It was terrible. Very sad."

"I had booked the royal spice but due to a very sad bereavement the restaurant was closed so went here instead. Service was chaotic to say the least even though there were only a handful of people in drinks order had to ask twice and wrong drink came. Poppadoms soft and chewy curries came two were wrong had to go back. One of our party had a nut allergy asked for a curry without nuts or could the curry she wanted be prepared without nuts answer no so what can I have a plate of chips! Really in this day and age nut allergies are quite common. I had to call the waiters at least twice from the other side of the room whilst they chatted together. I guess by the amount of people in the restaurant says it all really."

"Have wanted to try this takeaway for a couple of years due to good reviews and a love of spicy food. So finally ordered online last night. Went for the set meal for two consisting of Poppadoms and chutney, two pakoras, salad, two mains with...rice and nan. Had the Himalayan Lamb and Hot Khathmandu Chicken for mains and it was delicious. Everything was cooked really well. Normally with a takeaway you have to re-heat the mains if you eat the starter separately but not in this case, it was all piping hot. Only very slight criticism was too much rice and a plain nan instead of peshwari or keema, but overall an excellent meal. Well worth a try."

"We live in Devon and visited some years. When we were near Amesbury again, we had to come again. The food is fantastic, the service was good and the staff were attentive and wonderful. I had the Mixed platter feast house special and my wife had the Balti Lamb shank house special. Both were wonderful and good portions. Fully recommended. We will be back. "in recent years I have written a series of 5 star reviews about the punjabi tadka, as the quality of all food was exceptionally good. last night I have made my first delivery order since ende januar 2022 and was very disappointed by food quality. I will give feedback to any item in my delivery so that the owner will address what a problem with the kitchen staff or cook 1) poppadoms x 2: perfect as always 2) pink pakora sauce x2: thine runny submissive tasteless sauce. probably diluted with milk 3) chicken pakora x 2. bland coated deep fried chicken. no flavor of seasoned or cumin 4) huh bhuna x1. excessively spicy, sauce too thick and under seasoned with distinct lack of a hair 5) chicken chasni x 1. sauce was thin, much too sour, not sweet enough and under seasoned with distinct lack of han at the owners of the restaurant. the reason why they are recognized as the best Indian restaurant in east kilbride and probably the best in south lanarkshire is that they have been cooking high-quality, tasty food for years. I have written them so many 5 star reviews about the years because I realized that their team perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned foods with the best seasoned, crumble and spicy to create. inappropriate, last night meal not the 5 stars quality I have come to expect. if you want to keep their local legendary status, I suggest that you check my feedback about eating yesterday evening and have a word with whoever is their new cook, as they don't give out good food. we hope that my next order meets the 5 stars standard that I expected in the years that I am a loyal customer."

"Now that we can walk to a decent curryhouse, we are visiting our favourite Bangladeshi restaurant in Bedford far less often, which is ridiculous when the food is so superior! Tonight all 5 of us loved our delicious meals. I had my usual vegan pathia, which was the best I’ve ever tasted, (always a good indicator of a great restaurant, when every time you eat there, the food is the best you’ve ever tasted! The bonus tonight though was being informed that they have stopped using ghee in their pilau rice, so now, apart from the keema rice, every other rice is suitable for vegans so I had the coconut rice . We’ll be back again soon!!"

"I ordered a tandoori full chicken for including the delivery and service charges , the menu said that full chicken comes with rice and salad and it takes minutes . the minutes passed and more than an hour after that the driver came but he neither buzzed the intercom nor phoned me but he was pushing the main door like there was no buzzer !!! I opened and took the food only to find the rice was not there , the salad was only onion and lettuce plus one small piece of tomato ! and the chicken itself was not cooked properly ! so I paid all those money only to have a disgusting chicken and missing rice .Extremely not professional with a negative attitude and dont deserve even this one star . just avoid them at all cost"
