"nice atmosphere, service was okay, but a little slow on providing the food. but it is worth waiting because everything we have ordered is great! we had soft crabs papaya salat, padthai, yellow curry with deer meat and steam fish. I have to say I'm not a fan of the escape, but the flesh was so tender that we couldn't stop it. also the part was good with his price, def. recommend the people to come!"

"My wife and I traveled from Scotland to celebrate our wedding anniversary with a meal, courtesy of my elder brother. The restaurant was 80% full but we were seated promptly. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions. We ordered 3 starters to share and 3 main dishes with rice noodles. The starters arrived in 15 minutes and were excellent. The mains arrived 10 minutes after the starters were cleared and were also delicious. The food was great, the atmosphere was excellent, and the staff provided top-notch service. "This is the best Thai restaurant nin the UK that i have come across. And i know authentic Thai food with the typical short cuts that the restauranteurs make. This is the real deal! This is not the first time I have been impressed with this restaurant. I visited the Chapel Allerton restaurant 7 years ago and was equally impressed. The food is brilliantly cooked by the owner/family who is himself Thai. The6 have a transparent kitchen. It is cooked from scratch to order. The ingredients are fresh and correct. This was perfect in every way. The seevice waa very very good. The orice was fair. Every mirsel and mouthful was delicious. It 8s now foing to be booked for eqxh visit to Leeds ir Harrogate. As aomeone who has soent a significant amount of time in Thailand, i can say thisnis equal if not superior to wha5 i have uad in Thailand. So very very good. So what could be improved? 1. Water needs to be put on the table as a matter of course. We requested this but it was forgotten. 2. When you have booked you should be ahown dirextly to your table not expected to wait to be seated and handed a menu. 3. The view of the street needs to be obsxured a bit nore as it isnt a food view to see pwople walking past and looming in as you eat. (On the side road). 4. A small scoop.of.ice cream and or chocolate and or digestive drink should be laid on as part of the end or fiven with the bill. Overall very very very impressive. I loved it. I will return. I highly recommend it."

"Yum Yum is a great Thai restaurant that has been around for many years. It is set in a listed Georgian period building and is massive in size. Yum Yum has many different dining areas, including a section where diners can sit on floor cushions and eat from knee high tables and also features private dining rooms. The interior decor is both chic and contemporary and Yum Yum has a cool suave vibe about it. The eatery has a good cocktail bar and a rather large wine cellar. Yum Yum holds regular Jazz evenings in one of its lounges and periodically holds special Thai events for its diners. These can be a pleasant surprise and often turn the evening into more of an event than just a meal. There is an extensive menu and the quality of the dishes varies from good to very good, with one or two star dishes as well. This can be surprising as sometimes Yum Yum is extremely busy, having 300 covers, and yet they still manage to generally maintain the overall good quality of their dishes. The waitering staff are also generally very friendly and eager to please. I have eaten here many times overs the years and below are some of my favourite dishes. Crispy Soft Crabs, Hot Wings, Beef Paneng Curry, Chicken Ginger (Stir fry with Mushrooms), Lamb Mussaman Curry served with Pumpkin and Potatoes (my favourite dish), Lobster Pad Prik Pao (Whole lobster stir fried with chilli oil, soya sauce and oyster sauce), Pla Choo Chee (Whole Sea Bass cooked in a creamy red curry sauce) and the Squid with Chilli and Basil Leaves. Yum Yum always reminds me of my favourite Thai holiday resorts and makes me dream of my next far eastern holiday. If you love Thai food, I think that you will love Yum Yum. Halal."

"Decided to visit a Thai restaurant in Harpenden thanks to the recommendations of Thai cuisine people offered of this restaurant. Staff members are sympathetically talkative, attentive and, have a good understanding of individual cultures. The manager of the restaurant offers an organised customer service towards its booking system. He allowed us to walk in the restaurant without booking. But, unfortunately it is not a restaurant I would recommend to families with babies because it does not have a baby changing facilities. Without giving too much detail, have to say the food is takeaway style!"

"Great restaurant with delicious food. Went here with my wife and kids for my wife's birthday a year ago and then again last night. The staff were really friendly even walking my son to the bathroom when he couldn't find the way. The food was great. Everything I tried tasted like time and attention had been paid to it. I'm glad that standards remained high a year later. We had the the Siam sharer and the duck sharer to start which were great. For our mains we had prawn pad Thai, lemon chicken, prawn n broccoli and stirfryed beef. The standout to me was the prawn pad Thai but the crispy noodles with the lemon chicken deserve a shout out. In terms of the decor, the restaurant looked beautiful at first glance, following the Thai theme well with bamboo planters, sculptures and even a water feature in the centre. Looking out the windows across the fields you can see all the way to Penshaw monument. Overall i would go back as i definitely enjoyed my time there."

"I really need to take more photos of restaurants and food. However, I am not a food blogger, so I often receive strange looks from others at nearby tables. Despite this, the restaurant, the people, and the food are all fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful; it has a cozy and romantic atmosphere. There is no loud music, and other patrons speak in hushed tones, creating a pleasant and relaxed dining experience. The food has never disappointed us; it is always delicious. Even when we have ordered takeout and had to drive 40 minutes home, the food has remained warm and enjoyable. This is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions. We love Thai food, and it can be difficult to find good Thai restaurants, but this is definitely one of them! The staff is wonderful, very helpful, and polite. We highly recommend this place for a fancy dinner, a special evening out, or even a casual Friday night meal before hitting the pubs."

"The crispy duck was delicious, but unfortunately, the main dish left much to be desired. The sweet and sour dish was not like anything I had tried before and was very watery. My friend ordered the chicken sweet and sour, but it also did not taste like the traditional dish and was runny. When we expressed our disappointment to the waitress, she simply apologized and handed us the bill. To make matters worse, when our main dishes were brought to the table, the sauce spilled over onto the table and we had to clean it up ourselves. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and do not plan on returning."

"I was on the way to another restaurant when I noticed that, thought it didn't try, so let's go. I was the only person at the place, but this is not difficult around 17 clock, most people come later. I ordered my suppe, porn, veg and rice along with a chang to wash it. I asked that it be put on the table en masse instead of suppe and then pornstars because I like the suppe can be used to refresh the taste buds. the suppe was one of my favorites a hot and fragrant tom yum hed, my chicken jungle curry was a bit too sweet, but otherwise was great along with the siam lady, a mixture of deep fried aubergine and chili all migrated with a slightly boiled rice and of course the chang. all in all a very good meal at a good price, certainly as good as some bar dishes I had in Thailand. I noticed that many people have left bad reviews on this good little restaurant, and it looks as if most of them complain about late delivery, maybe they should go to the restaurant and cost the food there, I intend to go back when I don't in Thailand, that is"

"Without a doubt, this is the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to in the UK. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the lamb chops were exceptional. The Korean fried chicken wings were also bursting with flavor. I will definitely return to this place. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the food was incredibly delicious—calling it delicious doesn’t even do it justice. The environment was clean, and the staff were attentive and friendly. And they even offered free packaging? Why not! I’m definitely coming back very soon!"

In fact, myself and family is waiting whilst writing this review. Everytime you get a staff to request to order, they refer us to a lady who just appears to be overwhelmed. I could.understand that the place is busy but why just limit the ordering to one person. This is a ploy to delay the food output. Bearing in mind that it is Sunday evwning, they should anticipate this possibility that it could be hectic. As much as i try to understand, this whole experience has taken it another level of wait all you can buffet. The mere fact that they have the audacity to ask us to move our table to accommodate another guest. I will never go back to this place. SO PEOPLE, IF YOU LIKE TO WAIT FOR YOUR MEAL, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. I would.never come.back to this place again."
