"Victualer is such a gem to have in Wapping. It's a regular for me and have just been for my first Sunday lunch with the whole family, and it was excellent. Beef cooked to perfection and a delicious chocolate mousse for dessert. It's easy for this place to become too much of a regular thing because the quality of seasonal ingredients with reasonable prices makes it a constant draw. Having eaten at some incredible places, I'd pick Victualer over many of them. Their confit chicken with snails is one of the best things I've eaten recently and at under a tenner I'd go just for that with a glass of wine! My other half had a beetroot served three ways (starter) and she'd put it in one of her top five dishes of all time. I'm not naturally a fan of bio and organic wines. But the team at Victualer are always on hand with good recommendations and have certainly helped to expand my knowledge and understanding of natural wines. Really not sure what the last reviewer is on about. But then again, it's not the place for you if you're looking for an all you can eat Harvester option! I think Victualer is one of the best independent restaurants in London. I hope that other people outside of Wapping travel to it. It's worth the trip!"
