"eating here was good, but everything else wasn't great. my friends recommended this place, but I wouldn't go back. we reserved a table, we came down when I put the chair was completely broken. ordered hot drinks and service was prompt. tee came, but the mug was dirty with mark, so I sent that back and it was kindly replaced. we ordered our food, but after 45 minutes waiting for two meals we have the waitress down, which said that the order had not gone through the kitchen originally so prepared. I ordered eier benedikt and when it arrived, there were no Hollandaise sauce in sight, so they went to the kitchen to get some on the side. we ordered a second round hot drinks that I thought they could look into the problems with the service, but they don't offer. all very chaotic and disorganized and it was not even so busy and then beat them 12.5% service fee."

"I recently had a satisfying meal at Mem and Laz. The chicken breast was juicy and the chili sauce had a nice kick to it. I opted for the bread and butter pudding for dessert, but found it to be disappointing - dry and lacking in flavor even with the custard. Despite this, I enjoyed my overall dining experience. Please note that a service charge is included in the bill. Unfortunately, my return visit was less than satisfactory. I ordered Mediterranean vegetables but received mainly eggplant, courgettes, and onions. The eggplant had an odd rubbery texture and was difficult to cut with a knife, indicating it may not have been freshly prepared. Additionally, I noticed an increase in prices since my previous visit."

"ashmore’s was the favorite restaurant of my mannes, as we had always enjoyed excellent food and service. Therefore, when he was very sad recently deceased, it was the most suitable place to keep his wake. it was visited by about 44 people and everyone commented on how delicious and substantially the fingerbuffet was. I would like to thank her and wife ashmore and the staff for making the event so especially taking into account the very sad circumstances. pat and family."

"I booked a table for 8 people on a Wednesday evening, never having been to the Blackberry Grove before one of our group was vegan one was vegan and a Coeliac there was nowhere else on the Wirral I could think of that would be able to accommodate this. When we arrived the table was not ready the booking seemed to take the staff by surprise however they very quickly pushed two tables together for our party. There was a pub quiz in full swing which was unexpected however someone else in our group had seen on the website that this would be taking place at first it seemed a little noisy but in the interval we took the opportunity to join in and this added an extra fun element to our evening. There was a Wed night offer on fish and chips but the fish had sold out so the same offer was applied to any burgers we ordered as most of our party ordered burgers this was appreciated. The food was very good, the service was excellent (nothing was too much trouble) and the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed. Once the staff realised it was my son's birthday they brought him over a Blackberry Special cocktail on the house. I would definitely eat here again and am looking forward to trying the Sunday roasts which have been recommended by a friend. A small criticism was that the bread/oils/olive starter was disappointing/poor value the olives were just the pitted black green kind from a jar in brine. I would also suggest perhaps offering a vegan/vegetarian option on the dessert menu. Overall we had a lovely evening and I was very pleased with the decision to go there."

"eat them here as a group. the workers were in the regular ok, seemed tired and worn/feeded, maybe reworked, event was busy, seemed a little disorganized, but they also had a event on which they were overthrown. our reserved table was sticky and some cute was missing from some of the settings. Eating was coming slowly. in the request of servier spoons they did not provide a really helpful for the entire table/multiple side dishes. eating was good and pleasant despite asking a few and hopefully will come back sometime and be able to give them a better score. toilet facilities were bad, lights were outside and the place was unordered."

"had an evening meal in the grill room, which was nothing special. the environment could not be misbeaten, as the table, the chairs and the bed linen were in tune with the opulent environment. the menu looked good, but in truth our appetizers were not better than the...billion offers. my wife had the skallop and it was just a skallop (at me had the pate that was not better than they could buy in a super market. it came with five small pastry cakes and a bit of jam and frise salat. the starters took minutes to come and only then as we chased them up. the staff was aplogetic and said it was a new menu so that the cook fought. my wife had the risotto as head, that was nice, but my burger was dry and had operated better in many others. we decided to share a chocolate fond dessert, who unfortunately was so dry that we couldn't finish him. even the waitress agreed that it should be melt-in-the-middle, but they should not be deducted from our bill or offer an alternative. wein was good and in fairness, as it was our jubilee, we got free prosecco that was a nice note. as a post-script breakfast in the restaurant not better than the evening meal. possibly the worst touch I've ever seen and tasted. also no baked after the breakfast menu. Do not believe that we will eat here again when we come next to die"

"We were there for lunch. There was only one other couple there when we came. They were serving 4 different main dishes. We ordered 2 beef bourgogne with mashed potatoes. The stew should have been ready to just put on a plate and serve. We had to wait 30 minutes before it arrived and a couple that came in after us was served food before us. Not ok. They also put a service charge on the bill while asking us to go up to the desk and pay. Provide service if you're going to charge for it. The food was fine, a bit bland."

"I always enjoy this local restaurant; the food has never failed to impress. I had a birthday meal here with 16 people, and we ordered 12 different entrees, all of which were served at the same time. Excellent experience!"

"This hotel restaurant may be unassuming, but it exceeds expectations with its incredible dishes. It reminds us of the high-quality dining experiences we used to find in abundance in London. Each course we tried was exquisite, with standout dishes like the Asian coleslaw, beef rib, and sticky toffee and banana pudding. The smoked mac 'n cheese was also quite tasty. The menu offers a wide variety of options at a fraction of the cost compared to similar restaurants in London. If you're tired of overpriced pub food and pizzas in London, this is the place to go."
