"The crab in the canapés was the standout dish—I think we all agreed we could have happily eaten a tub of that instead of continuing with the rest of the meal! The food was delicious, and I have no complaints. My soup remained hot until we finished our bread, which was great. I wish I had reserved some extra gravy for my bratkartoffeln, which I enjoyed at the end of my main course, but it’s good to know I could have asked for more. The portion sizes were just right. Although I’m not a fan of mice cake, I was offered cookies for dessert. My mother couldn’t stop raving about how good the coffee was. I also appreciated the novelty decorations, crackers, and the small party popper boxes. Unfortunately, there was a diner at a nearby table who was overly loud and rude, constantly complaining to the staff, which did disrupt our experience a bit. The restaurant was quite full, providing a lively ambiance from other diners, but this person wanted to be the center of attention, which was rather embarrassing. Despite that distraction, I still enjoyed our meal and would happily return for Christmas 2023."

"The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and there was plenty of space at our table. Being greeted by John Shanahan himself was a nice added touch. Although we hadn't visited in years, we'll definitely be returning sooner next time. It is a bit more expensive compared to other restaurants of similar quality."
