"as they expect in kensington, the restaurants are more on the fine dining side. with property over 1 million, they would certainly not dive among their mews and town houses. chakra is not on the high street, it is not even on a side street. in the did they have to go down a side street, then through a few meters, to another road. it is solid in a residential area. because there is no too much trade, there is local and recommended. in this small place could fail chakra because the dependency of the word get out and natives are satisfied with the offer. they only do that with a light Indian menu will be concentrated on ingredient, in contrast to too much tradition. there are modern dishes that are rooted in history to bring it to a less experimental palate. for me I love to eat Indians, whether it is delivered as a take on my door, all fat and heavy or in this restaurant delicate and forward thinking. for our Indian extravaganza we started with an salate of granatapfel, mango, papaya, coriander, early on the bulb and amaranth for prisca. we also had an interesting lotus root with guar green beans, coriander, runners and mangles. I had my favorite beauty tandoori king prawns. a side of okra and also a creamy chicken and tomatenmasala. all this was washed with a dry sauvignon blanc. the service was very informative in a room that was clean and contemporary. in summer they can dine in the small outdoor terrace. for its location, the menu is very affordable. I recommend this as their Indian choice when they shop on the high street kensington."

"We had booked K2H before their NYE menu came out and were really looking forward to the experience, having heard good reports about the food. The evening started well with a warm welcome by a lovely young lady with great personality. We were given menus, drinks orders were taken and promptly delivered and then we were forgotten about. More than 30 minutes later the same young lady returned to us embarassed that our food order had not been taken. She then took the order and departed. 20 or so minutes later our starters arrived. We explained that we hadn 't had our poppadoms/chutneys and were told they would be brought over. The starters were delicious however the poppadoms didn 't materialise. When the starters were cleared we again requested our poppadoms and then after approximately 10 minutes we asked a waitress for them. Another 10 minutes passed and we asked yet again. The poppadoms arrived but seconds later our mains arrived leaving no room on the table for our rice or naans. We therefore asked for the poppadoms to be taken away. Two of the meals were very tasty however my chicken tikka dish was not good. The sauce tasted like tomato soup (yes, Heinz! with some spices added and the lamb dish (not the Rogan Josh was similar with an extremely mild korma type sauce. My dish was advertised as 2 chillis and was exceptionally mild and the lamb dish was also extremely bland. The chicken dish which we were told was jalfraizi hot was very tasty andhot, as expected. My husband 's rogan josh was quite spicy (2 chilli 's in contrast to my extremely bland dish. The rice and naan breads were very good. Our third round of drinks also took forever to turn up and we had to ask for them several times. Following our complaints about the poppadoms/drinks after the restaurant had thinned out we suddenly got lots of attention from the staff which felt too little too late. Prior to that we truly felt that we had been forgotten. It did detract from our enjoyment"
