"A special lunch to celebrate the life of a very fine friend, and it didn't disappoint. The last time we visited Zafferano was several years ago, to finalise details for a special trip. Zafferano is now even finer than we remembered. A professional but charming and relaxed Italian Restaurant with equally charming and discreetly attentive staff. We started with a steaming hot Minestrone soup and a Fusilli tomato pasta dish. Both were very tasty and beautifully presented. Our mains were honeyed chicken breast with roasted potatoes green beans. Desserts were hot apple pie with a custard base, topped with ice cream, all of which tasted marvellous. We would often have wine but didn't this time. Nevertheless, the wine list options are sophisticated and significantly vary in price. Although, it depends on what you choose, a meal here can be quite expensive. However, Zafferano is outstanding in every respect."
