"I am usually lazy about writing reviews, however my experience was so average that I believe it’s worth taking time out to let others know of my experience. Me and my wife arrived at 7:20 on a Friday, from the outside it’s a grand building but made to look tacky and cheap by the multi coloured lights. As we entered the building we were greeted with beer kegs, hot plates, chutney trays and just storage area in general. We looked around and there was no one to greet us, we had to get back out to the street to look for a new entrance as we thought it might have been the staff entrance. Unfortunately it wasn’t, and it was very dark and dingy. Once seated we were waiting for our friends to join us, so we had a quick scan of the place. Inside was also very grand, however you had electrical cupboard doors left open, hotplates all over the place and carpets that haven’t been changed over 30 years. This is definitely not the place if you want the romantic setting for an anniversary or a special occasion. There were 3 servers, and initially they were prompt with the drinks order. I must say the mango lassi was very good. However trying to get their attention after this initial interaction was pretty impossible. Once the menu was handed to us, it was falling apart and had curry stains on it. The tamarind sauce for the poppadoms were nice and different, however they didn’t even wait for us to finish the poppadoms before bringing the starters out. Once the starters were done, we left the plates and cutlery on the for the servers to clean but after 30 min it was still there, I called all 3 servers individually over to ask them to take it away but non of them did. The toilet had a foul smell of urine, really unclean and didn’t look like it was cleaned for weeks. So much so told my wife not to go and use it as she would be disgusted by it. The mains were very plain, my karai was very bland and my wife’s sag prawn was the worst we ever tried in an Indian restaurant. It feels like the chefs/ owners don’t have quality control or passion for food. I’m very critical as I have worked in an Indian restaurant for many years and it’s not hard to keep on top of all the things I have mentioned. But this place doesn’t care and is just interested in serving mediocre food to its customers."

"I'm an idiot. Now I know this isn't news to those who know me, but really I am. Since moving to London, many moons ago, I have never lived more than thirty minutes away from Ma Goa . Yet over the years, I've only eaten at this superior Indian restaurant on a handful of occasions. This despite really enjoying every meal I've ever eaten there. Yes, I'm an idiot. This Putney veteran has been churning out Goan treats since 1993, long before regional Indian cuisine became fashionable. As the name, Ma Goa, suggests, the family matriarch is in charge of the kitchen with her son taking care of front-of-house. And like all good family restaurants, there is pride and passion in their food that is conveyed through genuinely warm and helpful service. The Starters Joining me for dinner was Mr Wine, and to kick off we shared a couple of starters. Our favourite was sorpotel £5.50) , a traditional Goan dish of lambs' liver and kidney with pork belly in a roasted spice masala. Given the inclement wea"

"to be a good Indian/Pakistani restaurant in the center of curry mile, they must stand out and young do them protrude. as soon as they enter, the decor will transport them to another place. the location is illuminated by an eclectic group of lights of different shapes and colors, and the walls are covered with sensory overloading posters and color. the service is also excellent! the personal is very friendly, and the restaurant is allergic friendly by listing all common allergens beside each item and the personal ensures that all their allergen needs are visited. the food was A-OK. it was not the biggest Indian (or indo-Chinese) eating that I had, but it was quite delicious! I had the vegetable peppers, which is much more than soy sauce, and the sweet pepperini, where the vegetables are grilled with masala before putting the sandwich together. both options were great! I also had a strawberry cocktail that was sweet and sour, crisp and refreshing. If you're craving for an Indian eating that has a fusion dragon, I'd look past it!"

"...because this place used to be great and I'm worried it's going downhill. We often visited this place and got takeaways regularly and it was one of our favourite restaurants. But we went recently having not been back for a while and it really was not a good visit. It was a Friday night, we were the second couple in there. First change was that they no longer have a wine menu, the choice is red or white though we were quite relieved it hadn't gone dry! . Later a table came in and were allowed to bring their own bottle- I wish this had been advertised as we would definitely have done that! The food menu was much reduced from what it used to be- some of the main dishes we used to enjoy are no longer on there. My sister ordered a salmon dish for main- the staff member had to come and explain that she only had enough salmon for one portion and the table next to us had ordered that too- so both parties had to settle with half salmon, half some other fish. Low stock levels on a small menu is a concern. And note these were the two tables who were the first ones in that night. As the restaurant started to fill up the service became slower and slower. We sat with our finished starters for a long time. When the mains came my sister's fish dish was a very small amount- and we think maybe one small piece of salmon! As we were being served I pointed out that I had also ordered some sticky rice- she said it was just coming but I didn't see her go and check- I never got my sticky rice : So my sister of the small main portion then had to share her rice with me. I tried to get the server's attention but by that point the restaurant was full and it was impossible to even catch her eye. The table next to us had to physically get up and try and catch the person to get their bill and we also had to wait a long time to try and get ours. There were two takeaways while we were there- they also seemed to have to wait ages for their food. I did point out I didn't get my sticky rice so she removed that from the bill, but no concession for the change in fish dish. It's such a shame as it's best this place is great but they just need some help. They did not have the capacity for a full restaurant and takeaways. Despite clearly struggling they kept seating people. The food is really good but your experience is ruined by the service and constantly having to chase someone for something missing. It's also cash only- but they do warn you of this."

"If you are okay with dining in a casual cafe setting, this restaurant will impress you with its authentic Indian cuisine. Despite its unassuming exterior, Bombay Boulevard's 5-star hygiene rating convinced me to give it a chance. The curry was outstanding, featuring tender chicken in a flavorful sauce with a satisfying level of spice, as suggested by the server/chef/owner. It's definitely worth a shot if you're in the mood for a straightforward meal that delivers on taste."

"We got a banquet for 2 and it was incredible! The sheer amount of food was insane, safe to say we are absolutely stuffed now! Tasted so good, the Balti was lovely and the chicken tikka masala creamy and flavourful. The only minor complaint I have is the delivery time took a while and it could have been warmer when it arrived but it was a Saturday night so that's to be expected. Will absolutely be ordering again!"

"This is one of the best dessert shops in the area. The staff is always friendly and the desserts taste amazing with fresh ingredients. I usually order for pick up and the wait time is usually around 20 minutes. I didn't give it a 5-star rating because I had a terrible experience with delivery - it took about 2 hours for the food to arrive. I would definitely recommend this place for pick up orders."

"Food was average, the staff are lovely apart from the manager/owner who is very rude and abrupt, second time trying this place out and was not impressed, thought maybe first time because they where busy the customer service was bad but even when the place was quiet, still the same service. Lime bar restaurant next door is much better!"

"Booked for a party of 9 adults, a toddler and a baby 6pm Friday 2nd June 23. From the second we sat down the attitude of the waiters was apparent. It’s a bring your own alcohol place they seemed reluctant to give us glasses!! There were very few other diners at that time yet the main waiter kept trying to rush us to order! They virtually slung the all dishes (we all had 3 courses) at us with absolutely NO FINESSE WHATSOEVER we asked for water to be served to the table that never arrived! There wasn’t one smile or courteous gesture the whole time we were there the food was good everyone enjoyed it but the atmosphere from the waiters was as if they didn’t want us there. They say they are ‘family friendly’ and can cater for groups but it was obvious they were not very happy with us!! So sad because it is very local convenient for us as a family to get there. But WE WON’T BE GOING AGAIN after this experience!!!!"

"great food! personal is friendly. .but the only disappointment was on Sunday .the buffet. day. we waited too long until our drinks had to ask for them three times, and we waited for our nanbrot and had asked 2 employees. .it finally arrived when we finished our eating. a little late you wouldn't say. at least we went up and got another dish full of food. they just walked and cleared our table. took our naanbrot. was not happy"

"Superb food with very good service. Would highly recommend. We visited on a Tuesday evening and had the 4 course banquet meal which is poppadom , starter, main course and ice cream desert (limited courses) . It’s only £13.95. Absolute bargain and very good quality. Such was the quality that we Would pay the extra for other times. One of the best Indian meals we have had in a long time"

"first order the last night. service was exceptional to arrange food to be ready earlier than normal and so a beautiful person with whom we talked. I think this is a mother-daughter team and that we had for my mother when I felt it was something special. I'm vegan and my mom isn't, but we both loved it! and I can be a hard critic with Indians eating, but the aromen, where fantastic. I would highly recommend the Ramja court! oh and we loved the free popadoms and dives!"

"I had an awful experience at this restaurant. It was very small and cramped, with limited seating. The close quarters meant that when other customers sneezed, it ended up on our food, especially in the basement seating section. The food was also very poor quality, so I would suggest going to a different Indian restaurant in the Paddington Street area. It's better to save your money and eat somewhere else."

"I have been eating at Haandi for many years and have taken lots of friends there, who have all enjoyed the experience. Unlike so many neighbourhood South Asian restaurants in London, Haandi has excellent chefs who use tender cuts of lamb and chicken, understand spicing and produce tasty vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The standard of cooking is consistent. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The service is good. The dining area is mirrored making it seem bigger than it really is. It is not too noisy for pleasant conversation. The chefs in the kitchen are visible through a glass screen. Try in particular the lamb biryani, the okra (crunchy, not gummy and overcooked) and the black dal (quite a bit of chili heat and fragrant with cinnamon)."

"AVOID AWFUL customer service I ordered from here at least once every couple of weeks always the same order. Ordered today and was 20 minutes past the delivery arrival time before I called, the restaurant told me the driver is en route and will be with me in five minutes. A further half an hour passed I call the restaurant and I was told he left the food downstairs Driver did not bother to call me or ring my buzzer so my food was stolen and they refused to refund me or send me out another order"
