"Bar Boulud is my go to choice when I’m craving a reliable dining experience of classics perfectly executed and comparatively priced for the neighbourhood. It’s the ideal place to have up your sleeve to call for a last minute reservation before dropping in with your other half, friends or even on your own perched at the bar. They have an extremely versatile menu of classic French and American dishes including some of the best burgers in town (the Frenchy and Yankee burger are real stand out), a great steak tartare, a strong seafood selection (the grilled octopus and cod being worthy of mention), salads you will not regret ordering, freshly baked bread and truly excellent French fries (harder to come by than expected). The clientele is usually composed of people staying at the upmarket Mandarin Oriental (which it is based in but enjoys its own entrance), well heeled Knightsbridge types, professionals and those who’ve been shopping nearby, with an ambient yet relaxed environment. The service is usually very reliable and friendly and they have a very expansive wine list for you too oenophiles."

"After being first shown a table away from everyone else in another empty room and then another table that was for 8 people in the main restaurant the staff found the three of us a nice table in the restaurant. There were only three other tables occupied!! A strange experience!!! The food was good and the service attentive although I didn’t like the very long thumbnail on the waiter!!! A little off putting. My three haddock croquettes (starter) were produced in a tiny bowl with no lettuce leaves or any trimmings. They tasted good though. The tiny bowl wasn't even sitting on a plate. It just seemed a strange way to present a starter. We ate on a Thursday lunchtime so perhaps the chef that day needed a little training in presentation! My haddock in batter was tasty and the other two people had steak slicers in sourdough. They said that it was good. I would recommend this restaurant but perhaps insist on a decent table."

"The feeling was that the food was cooked without love, but it was eatable. Although the service needs some serious shaping up. At one point we hade to remind the waiter that we it was easier to try the wine he just corked up if we were to have wine glasses. The place has potential to be rather nice and cosy, but the management have some work to do."

"I have been visiting Gazette in Putney to meet friends for several years as it was always good value and they offered a varied special lunch menu. However yesterday the food, presentation and ambiance had changed. The menus were stained and that day’s menu was badly hand written and one of the main courses was not available even though it was just 1 o’clock. When the bill for two disappointing courses arrived we found it was no longer good value. There are many restaurants in Putney and I fear Gazette will not survive unless they up their game ,"

"We love Gazette and it was our first time at the Wandsworth venue. Food and service were perfect as usual. It’s just a pity that it was too hot. The glass roof is not ideal during a heat wave. Appart from that, we had a lovely time."

"The food was ok we went for Sunday lunch, All the food was out on the plate ready. I do like to put mine in myself. But that's me. We sat by the stair. Which was a little cold. So when I went to the loos I close the window. There again that just be me. I would still go back but maybe in a evening. Not Sunday lunch"

"After dining at this restaurant multiple times, I made a reservation for dinner with three friends and was extremely let down by the decline in quality. The cocktails lacked flavor, the wine was tasteless, and all the food was overly salty. The lemon sole was overcooked, the butter sauce tasted burnt instead of nutty. The aubergine main dish was small and lacked flavor, more suitable as a starter. The halloumi main was bland and the sole goujons were lukewarm at best. The dessert, rhubarb frangipane, tasted like a subpar Bakewell tart with minimal rhubarb, and the Balthazar coupe was overly sweet. At a price of £270, this meal was far too expensive for the subpar quality. I am unsure if there has been a change in management at this restaurant, but I was truly disappointed and embarrassed to have recommended it to my friends. I will not be returning or suggesting this restaurant to others in the future."

"We had a delightful Sunday lunch at Bully's. The fixed Sunday menu was straightforward yet offered something for everyone. The starters were flavorful and well-portioned, and we appreciated the complimentary water and bread, along with a nice selection of wines. Although our first choice was unavailable, the recommended alternative was excellent. For our main courses, we chose roast beef, chicken supreme, sea bass, and a tempting mushroom dish. Each of us was pleased with our selections, which were all perfectly cooked. Extra vegetables were available upon request! A few of us had room for dessert, and the caramel chocolate tart with cream was outstanding, as was the coffee. The prix fixe menu was great value, with an optional 10% service charge added. Overall, it was a perfect experience, and we'll definitely return!"

"So it seems , they’ve changed the menu , not impressed , no beef Bourgogne included on the bistro menu .. opted for steak frites , a little ropey . And well sticky toffee pudding now is a Madeline with sauce on the top .. yuk .. I was not happy about these changes at all . Staff are always nice but our order went a wry , but I’d like to add apologies were made ."

"We had dinner with friends on a busy Saturday evening in London. L'Artiste Muscle was a nice quiet haven. Service was friendly enough and the food was fine though nothing particularly exceptional. Some gaps that surprised us no fruit juices available and no decaffeinated coffee. Ambience downstairs isn't great but pleasant enough upstairs. Not a bad price for the location."

"I went to this restaurant with my son yesterday while in Leamington Spa and had a wonderful experience with the 6 course Soirée Gastronomique menu as well as other delicious options. The house white wine was also very enjoyable and refreshing. I would like to give a special mention to the fantastic service provided by Philippe and the lovely Pauline. They were very professional and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure that my son and I had a great dining experience. Thank you to the entire staff, we will definitely be returning in the future."

"Our first visit to this Penarth restaurant. Have been to the one in Canton many times. Food really good, big fan of the chicken livers. Everyone really enjoyed both courses. Excellent wine and good recommendations from the Waiter. I ask for our main course to be delayed because my husband returned earlier from work and headed over to Penarth to join us. Very accommodating with this request. We all look forward to returning."

"A charming French restaurant in Fulham. They have a skilled French chef who prepares excellent local dishes, and the Parisian owners are friendly and knowledgeable about their wine selection. The pork terrine, onion jam, and onion soup were all delicious starters, as well as the lamb with couscous, garlic spinach, and fantastic fries. The unfiltered house Cotes du Rhone paired perfectly with the meal. We will definitely be returning."
