"We had a meal at the Fat Badger 3rd January (we were in Harrogate for a few days from Norfolk). The food was okay, nothing to write home about. The main disappointment was the service. It 's hard to comment on the atmosphere as there were only 3 tables being occupied and one was ours. We had a table booked for 7.30, we were a little early and we were rushed through to our table without being offered a drink. When someone came to take our order, we had to ask for a drink and that arrived after our starter. There was no welcome or chat with the waiter, no ambiance at all. We were by finished by 8.30 and quite honestly glad to leave. Was it to near to The New Year that staff had just turned off . It was a shame as we had enjoyed our time in Harrogate and had beautiful meals in various places. I feel that some customer service wouldn 't come a miss possibly some training at The Ivy....."

"We all had a pleasant experience at the restaurant. It was quite busy, and the staff appeared to be stretched thin. The food was good, but we had to wait for cutlery and drinks. We ordered the Sunday roasts, and I would have appreciated having the option to look at the main menu, which wasn’t offered. Overall, though, we found a great place that suited all of us."
