"Believe it or not this restaurant just saved my life in such a cold, dark and hungry autumn night. I, a traveler knows nobody, found this restaurant and walked in without reservation and they had seat available for me and served delicious dishes with a price very acceptable. "We visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening, table was booked for 19:00. It was a cold wet night so was nice to get inside. When we entered there was a table of eight and a couple at another table, to my surprise that appeared to be the restaurant almost full. By 19:20 we alone in the restaurant which was great for service but not so good for atmosphere. The food we ordered was great, very authentic and extremely well prepared. I would go back but will try a Friday or Saturday evening. On leaving I noticed additional tables at the back which appeared to be from the same restaurant, so not so small."

"I happened to be in Rawtenstall with my uncle for the day. I have many dietary requirements and rushed out of the house forgetting my food for the day. I walked past the Thai shack and asked if they could cater for me. They were so helpful, they modified a Phad Thai for me and explained everything they were going to add. It was delicious, and a great sized portion size I've got some left for later! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and I can't wait to go back when I'm next in the area. "I have Thai food pretty much anywhere I go, and have been about Thailand. Reviews were great here grabbed a take away but I was a wee bit disappointed. The chicken starter in the leaves was dry and the pieces were very small given the price I'd avoid that starter. I bet the others are better. The stir fry dish I had was very watery. Not sure about the crispy noodles. I'd stick to sticky rice if I plan on going again"

"Have eaten here many times over the past 10-15 yrs and generally never been disappointed. My last visit however changed that. The 'slop ' of a curry that I was served looked rather more like something a baby would regurgitate than what I expected and the meat was chewy and arguably under-cooked. Then to top it all there was a service charge for 2 people eating on a mid-week night, when incidentally the Indian restaurant next door was full. If this is what this restaurant has sunk to then its a real shame."

"In here for dinner the other night. Ordered a White Russian to be sent this half empty glass of milk. Took nearly 20 minutes for us to get served and then I had asked to have my White Russian returned as I wasn’t paying £6,50 for a half full glass of juice to which the waitress decided to instead argue with me and insist that this is how they are made and this is how they should look. Ordering plenty of White Russians from restaurants in my lifetime I’ve never been handed anything as half arsed as I was in this restaurant. Food was average and really far from the £25 spent for our meals. Won’t be back unfortunately"

"I've given 4* as the food was delicious. Some lovely unusual dishes on the menu. What let the place down was the atmosphere (more to follow on that) and the restaurant needed a bit of TLC as was looking a bit tired. Looking around noticed it needed redecorating. The service was friendly but slow, a number of diners got up asked the waitress for more drinks or when their food would be ready which affected the atmosphere. We had to wait between 30 and 45 mins for our food which we was ok by us but not for others. The main reason we found out was due to number of takeaways/deliveries being ordered and accepted. I understand that they do not want to turn away business but there has to be a balance towards looking after your in house diners and give them priority especially if only having one chef. Surely, the take out orders could be given a later delivery time. Would I go back, not in a hurry, would I order a takeaway certainly for the food."

"Absolutely terrible service, didn’t even receive the food despite waiting an hour past the expected delivery time. Received a call from the delivery driver asking for directions to my property and it seemed like he didn’t even understand English, and asked me to come out onto the street to meet him despite telling him that I was immobile to to an injury. Driver left his mobile phone at the restaurant and had to use the mobile phone of a member of the public to call me. Tried to call the restaurant and couldn’t even get through to anybody so was left without food and the restaurant had already taken my money. Avoid this restaurant at all costs."

"Just had Stir-Fry Pad Prig Gang (spicy) that wasn't spicy at all and had to ask for chilli oil. Ordered with small Jasmin Rice that came toghether near to £16 for most expensive seafood option £9.20 Not worth it at all, my meal was mainly onions, carots and peppers no curry or courgette and bamboo shoots. 3 prawns and bits of 3 squid a bit like a joke to my last meal in Thai place. Response from the owner 57 minutes ago Respons: Hi Mario, I have just checked your order and what you had was a seafood pad nam man hoi, (which is vegetables and seafood cooked in oyster sauce it’s not a spicy dish, unless you request it to be) not a pad prig gang which is a dry red curry that is spicy. So even got served different than ordered. I was after No.37 How much worse can it get?"

"I would like to thank the staff of Bangkok Bistro for their wonderful customer service and their kindness towards my girlfriend on her birthday. We reserved a table for the very first time and we will definitely be returning as the food was delicious. Their Massaman Curry was heavenly, and the coconut ice cream was the icing on the cake. I didn't quite catch the waitresses' name, but she was fabulous throughout the whole night.
